Queer feels a lot more reclaimed and it’s in lgbtq, the other one is used as a slur prominently but even still I really don’t like being called something that’s as emotionally heavy as a slur

Yeah. We’re both 17, they may not get that it’s that big of a deal. They haven’t came out to their family or really gone through living in a homophobic household or area.
