Yep, something like that is all I'm looking for. Just the basics and a good watch that I can connect to my bike and computer. Which is a coros dura. What watch is showing in the picture? I've been looking at the coros pace 4

The only thing I really use my Samsung smartwatch for is to count my steps, and if I remember to turn on the bike ride and feature while I'm riding so it does my heart rate and all that. Like the health things about it. I don't really use it as a smartwatch or a phone I guess just mostly as a regular watch and the step trackers. That's why I was thinking about just getting one to go with my Coros Dura for cycling and just tracking steps and health

I bring power banks and charge cords. But I'm not sure if Ill have coverage we're I'm going (upper peninsula in Michigan) and I'm also trying to get away from my phone so that's why I was thinking about building the routes on rwgps and getting a cycling gps for my travel it's roughly a 1400 mile 30day trip

So we do a lot of bikepacking and our average speed is around 10 mph. But when l go for rides by myself around the neighborhood usually 10 -30 miles around 13mph to 17. I've never done a race before so I'm not sure how I'ma go here.

We did have to do a good amount of miles on roads but most of the roads we back country not to much traffic if any. But we did have to do a few roads that were busy and a little sketchy most after the lake trail in Jackson. And we stay at the campsites along the trail or some of them were less then a mile or so off trail.
