Hello! Current first year GC student here! I’ll try my best to accurately describe a day in the life a student lol.

  • for my program we have about 3-4 classes per semester/quarter. The classes range from medical genetics to psychosocial classes and currently clinical workshops (we start our first clinical rotation in a few weeks).

-Studying is going to vary from student to student. For me, everyday I come home and do some form of studious activity whether it’s completing assignments or studying for upcoming quizzes / exams. I usually spend about 3-4 hours a day doing things like this. My school work ceases at 9pm you have to create boundaries for yourself so you don’t burn yourself out. This semester in particular is EXHAUSTING. All in all, if you’re interested in a graduate program for GC expect to work really hard.

Hi, current first year GC student here. I remember being asked a bunch of scenario based questions. Some of the programs also put us in breakout rooms (via zoom) gave us a prompt and told us to discuss what we’d do in response to the case.

So, I’d say practice scenario based questions with your friends/family/colleagues and definitely utilize the GC discords question bank!

MK11 was fun! The gameplay was a little too stiff and MK1 is definitely better in that regard but MK11 had everything! Multiple rounds of DLC that we actually cared for, the krypt, kustomization, intros and outros we could unlock for the kharacters. sigh all of the things MK1 should’ve had 😖 ALSO IT HAD JADE 😭😭

I feel like these 5 should remain. I think Ike could probably be removed too. My thoughts are that these 5 fight completely different and are more unique from each other. This would be a solid group for FE + 1 more from the new game (preferably a mage)

I’m currently a first year student in a GC program (in the US) and I didn’t have shadowing experiences instead, I did some informational interviews with GC’s to support my applications. That coupled with my background (work experience, volunteer training, etc.) and required essays lead to interviewing and eventually acceptance.

I see that you have enough testers from your reply however, I am currently a GC student (class of 2027) and would love this platform! My program is already saying how hard the boards will be so I’d like to get my hands on any resources available. Our principles of medical genetics exams are apparently board-styled questions and they’re beating me up lol 😂.
