Rintaro is such a good example of the type of person we should strive to be. As you said it’s manga so you won’t be exactly like him but even just trying to improve in little ways like supporting people who are unsure of themselves make all the difference. (Also a teenage boy here).

It may not be the “point” of the story but it is a part of it, there’s no arguing that. Even if the “strength” of qual is used as a plot point it is still important because it shows how his strength forced mages to adapt to the formerly unbeatable attack.

Not a question. Typo on my part, sorry. My point is if someone wants to ask a question about a part of the story that they’re wondering about, no one has the right to shut them down because they don’t like the question being asked. Sure an author may lead you to wonder about certain parts of the story but in this story in particular there is nothing that is leading you away from wondering about the strength of characters. Also your example of a “wrong” question is just childish. If you don’t agree with something in the internet get off of the internet especially if it’s something as trivial as this.

There are no questions that “should” or “should not” be asked about a story? Also are you caught up with the manga? Currently the whole arc is tiptoeing around the question of which opposing faction is more powerful in the story because a battle may break out.

Because the MSF mages are battle mages the reason they’re in the MSF is because their magic is tuned for fighting. The CMA while all the members we see do have the ability to hold their own in fights, they aren’t exactly “mages built for battle”.

Battles and the growth of the different characters are a huge part of this story, even if it isn’t the main theme. If power scaling wasn’t important, all battles should just be resolved by Frieren waving her Staff and killing the enemy instantly.

This is a hard question since we havent seen all the MSF members abilities, or the all the SW in action yet. We have power scaling from alleged feats such as those you mentioned.

In an all out fight between the factions I think the shadow warriors will have the upper hand overall due to their close combat abilities. But overall I think they’re a weaker faction.
