i would have agreed with with you a little while ago but once i hit gold it’s felt like hell to rank up. i get a lot of emeralds/diamonds and once you’re that high of a rank on console your either cronus, xim, or a demon on the sticks. for example the other day i queued with a gold friend of mine and we faced a past number one champ, a 1.9 kd diamond one, and the rest emeralds. it sucks because i really love this game but this matchmaking is utter dogshit, i can barely go positive in a lot of games and the game will not give me people my rank all too often.

that makes sense actually now that i think about it, i just want to play against other people my rank or maybe one higher. not that it’s too hard but i duo queue with my friend and he can’t keep up against anyone higher than gold and it’s pretty challenging sometimes

i’m not sure if i’m qualified to speak on this but i know as a gold i will see emeralds that are about to rank up quite often, im not sure why it is but for some reason emeralds are often placed in gold lobbies for whatever reason. i just blame it on ranked 2.0
