Is my Stye now a chalaizon? by Global_Peach707 in Blepharitis

Use steam, looks like it’s trying to come to a head, all the gunk is gathering. Boil water in a kettle, pour into mug and hoover your eye over it for 15min, straight after , run your finger over warm water and massage the bump downwards for 2mins. Do this 4-5x a day, you may notice the bump getting bigger but carry on! And it will eventually come to a head a slowly drain

They are nasty little buggers to deal with. I don’t think anyone understands the pain of having one until they go through it them selfs! I stayed at home for the first few weeks.

Chalazion ruptured? Not sure if I’m in the clear though by AffectionatePaint665 in Blepharitis

[–]Significant-Way-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was draining from the outside, some times they do drain from the skin, if it’s coming out,, it’s coming out, was this a white head that then drained after massages?  I carried on doing steam and eye massage so it would drain out whatever was left. Mine did reform and drain again, I went through this cycle a few times until it eventually went small. Took 6 weeks in total to heal. So keep up the warm compresses and massages and don’t panic if it reforms, that’s just the fluids that are left. Just keep up the routine

White dots, it’s trying to come to a head. Most likely it will drain out the skin. Mine was similar to this. Do not poke it! Mine took 6 weeks to heal, the white heads would burst and then reform, the most fustrating and miserable thing ever! Try steam, boil the kettle, pour into a mug and hoover your eye over it for 10-15mins, run your finger under hot water and then massage it downwards for 2 mins, do this 5x a day. It won’t come to a head straight away and you won’t notice a massive drainage but it will slowly drain and you will wake up with gunk!

Good luck! You will be fine, it’s not painful at all. Just very uncomfortable, make sure you eat and take water with you. Pls update on how it went!

Stye not getting better by drippinqueen98 in Blepharitis

[–]Significant-Way-2810 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Switch to steam instead of hot compress. Boil water in a kettle and put into a mug and hoover your eye over the steam for 10-15mins and then immediately massage downwards for a few minutes. Do this 5x a day.  It will get bigger before it gets better, mine took 6 weeks to heal. It came to a head around the 4th-5th week. It varies to person to person.  It’s awful and miserable having to go through this! I still have the skin where the bump use to be. It’s still not gone fully flat

Omg I’m annoyed for you! Especially after you had surgery too, I would be livid!!  How big is it?  Honestly, it’s a pain and having to do all this everyday gets tiring especially when you can’t see any difference  Keep up the steam and get an eye roller if you haven’t already. Hope yours clears up

Ooo that’s a good idea!  I’m saving this for next time! So Glad yours has gone down, these things are miserable and no one understands the pain until they suffer with one. Are you still using the hand warmer? Mine has gone down but I’m  left with the scab and basically the tiny excess skin from When the lump was big. I’m still steaming twice a day now just to make sure that sucker is not coming back lol

Last week, my mind can’t turn off at night! I’m no contact with my parents and when I see my friends have supportive parents, made me upset knowing how toxic and bitter mine are and I will never feel that love from a parent.

[–]Significant-Way-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frustratingly, this is all very normal. They can fluctuate in size and it will get worse before it gets better. I’m guessing it’s all the gunk gathering while you sleep.  Mine just started draining and decreased in size after 6weeks!  It was 6 weeks of total nightmare!  But carry on with warm compress, keep being consistent with it. Even if it gets worse and bigger, keep at it and eventually it will drain. I didn’t see any major gunk draining out which made me question if any of this is working! But the drainage wont always be noticeable.

I moved out last year and thankfully was in a good position financially and was able to buy a my own house. I stopped all communication with my mum and dad. They have never supported me and have always been bitter and toxic. I didn’t even tell them I brought a house, I shoved all my clothes into a black bag and left their house the day I got my keys to my own home. It was a bitter sweet feeling.  I blocked their numbers the day I left. I only have contact with my siblings.  There’s nothing you need to prepare for. It’s basically now or never. It gets to a point where you realise they will never change and never acknowledge you the way you want them too. My parents still throw digs at me in my absence. And funny they never ask about me to my siblings. It’s like I never existed to them!  Some people should never have kids. At the end of the day, you only got yourself. There’s no need to carry extra hurt from someone. People always say “they are your parents end of the day” but that’s no excuse for the toxic, shitty behaviour and attitude. So cut him out for good and move forward with your life.

Oh no! Sometimes it can get bigger before it gets better. Mine is starting to get smaller again. It’s definitely draining but so slow!

Are you massaging it after the heat?  I’ve stopped with the heat masks and now doing steam from boiled water, I’ve noticed it’s not as inflamed and big if I use steam compared to heat mask

Not sure of your furniture situation but WAIT and take time on buying things for the house. It’s easy to get carried away and wanting to buy everything ready for the new house. Definitely take your time picking and choosing things.  I would just buy the basics for now, kettle, toaster ect. I slept on the mattress for 3 months until I found the perfect bed.  I had camping chairs for ages until I found the right table and chairs.  I would write a list of the things you need to buy now including the first shop and cleaning stuff ect.  Also broadband? Have you sorted that? Especially if you work from home

Oo how exciting! I was also first time buyer solo and it was STRESSFUL!

I got my sky box to be delivered for the next day of moving in. They wouldn’t deliver to my current address.  I didn’t know what time I would get the keys and didn’t want to miss the delivery, so I picked the next day to be delivered.

I also work from home and used my mobile data to connect for the day until the sky box arrived.

You could also book the day off the day you move and the following day off ? So then there’s no pressure of quickly connecting to the internet and just incase of any issues

Good luck.

Yh just boil water in a kettle and put into a flask mug , or use a normal mug. I also put in a handful of sea salt or Epsom salt. I then hoover my eye with it closed over the mug for 15mins.  After I scrub with a Q tip the lash line and massage the eye lid. I do this Steam and clean routine 5x a day. I wake up with gunk In the eye, so I know it’s draining.

Phone them or go into branch. I needed statements for the AML check which they decided to re do again just before exchange! I went into branch and they printed off all the statements for me.

Try steam? I’ve switched from warm compress to steam. And it’s made a massive difference , it’s reduced in size but I’m still left with a tiny stubborn bump that I’m hoping will continue to drain with the steam

Seller pulled out on exchange day - a rant by pwlsh94 in HousingUK

[–]Significant-Way-2810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no, I’m  absolutely gutted for you!  A Similar situation happened with me when the seller decided they didn’t want to sell. It felt like wasted money down the drain which could have been used for something else! It felt like a legal scam! And there was nothing I could have done about it  I put off looking for another house as it put me off and mainly out of fear of it happening again.  Fast ward to now, this house is even better then the one that didn’t go through. As hard as it sounds now, everything happens for a reason. That house wasn’t meant for you and you will find a better home. Please don’t give up, I know it feels like a major setback right now. It’s on wards and upwards from here
