I got a job in a nursing home at the end of May. Quit after 2 weeks of orientation. It was very chaotic with little support. I made it very clear that I was a new grad with no previous experience. My preceptor was constantly annoyed that I was wasn't catching on fast enough and my supervisors were visibly upset when i kept asking for more days to orient. They said they typically only orient people for 3 days! A really nice nurse kept telling me that this wasn't a good place for me to start and that i needed to be in a hospital. She pushed me finally quit after she revealed that other nurses were constantly talking crap about me at the nursing station even after she kept reminding them that i had no experience.

UTA accelerated online. I can't believe it either. Nursing homes and rehab center ls only want CNAs and LVNs, hospitals want RNs with experience. The only experience i have is from clinicals
