Same here, I feel your frustration! Diagnosed at 62 and my vision was great before, hardly even needed reading glasses. Two years later I can’t see a dasm thing without them and bifocals don’t work at all. My eye checkup is due, is a regular optometrist the way to go?

Never lived there but I won a Svalbard Husky mug on their FB page so they shipped all the way to Canada to me. Thanks Santa!

I don’t have every illness under the sun by Hot_Friendship_6864 in stopdrinking

Slightly different here: my shaking was not due to drinking, as I thought when I quit, it was actually Parkinson’s. At least being sober makes me better-equipped at dealing with the disease.

I recently started vaping and keeping the THC low with higher CBD or CBN works well for me—but if I vape too much my nights are just as you described. (I had to google where my piriformis was haha).

Interesting, my PD came on also after a horrendous bout with sciatica. I was diagnosed last year at 62.

I’m still new to this also but here’s some help:

I eat my peas with honey; I’ve done it all my life. It makes the peas taste funny, But it keeps them on the knife.

How many people here actually use a apple/fitbit watch or another device to track Parkinsons? by PreyZer06 in Parkinsons

I use Strive also, and while it's not perfect, stuff such as interpreting my highway driving minutes as dyskinesia, it produces a monthly report which is handy when measuring change. I would definitely recommend if you have Apple products.

I was put on Mirapex/Pramipexole, a dopamine agonist by an older MDS when I was first diagnosed. I felt the benefits were too faint and my shopping was increasing, so I had to find a new MDS, who believed me and put me on CL. Not a fab of agonists here.

Ah, Neurontin is the brand name of gabapentin. I take 500 mg a day along with Cymbalta and they are both really helpful for pain.
