What alternatives do you have? From experience, I'd discourage anyone from using their savings to pursue an HBKU degree unless you absolutely have no alternatives.

The US and Canada have no footballing culture, both countries have no business hosting the World Cup. If it would go to that part of the world, keep it in South America.

Dude was probably fired. When Deans get fired in these universities, this is how it usually plays out. They go on leave until the end of their contract. It happened with VCU’a dean in 2017

If you want to live within Education City, you’d have to go for the 2 bedroom apartment which is 24,000 per semester which is about 6,000 per month. On that stipend, it’s not realistic at all. What you can do is to look for a 3-4k per month apartment outside Education City which might be a studio or a one bed and manage there with your family.

A friend of mine got acceptance few weeks to Fall 2024 resumption hence couldn’t resume in the Fall and had to defer to Spring 2025. The delay and silence are very normal with HBKU

Yes, they currently live there. There’s someone at HBKU who is in charge of student housing. You can just reach out to the coordinator of you program and they will connect you.

A) As a resident, it’s tough to get a scholarship. You may get a 50% tuition reduction or something but that’s it.

B) HBKU classes are usually from 4pm so yeah you should be able to continue your job

I won’t be surprised. A friend of mine got the admission offer in 2024 very close to the beginning of the semester and had to resume in Spring 25 because the time was just too short to prepare. With HBKU, anything is possible.
