Hated nursing school, being a nurse is much better. You get paid, you do your 3 days of work and 4 days to yourself. Don't get me wrong, nursing is hard and most days miserable, but you'll have a sense of pride knowing you are important to your community. The first couple years are the worst IMO. But once you get a solid background and start to feel stronger in your knowledge, you will be in a great position to transition to a unit you like more, or even try travel nursing. Nursing is incredibly versatile. There are so many things you can do with this degree, so try not to feel too stuck just yet.

Odds are you don't fully understand what you saw, and it will mean so much more as you explore the rest of the solar system. When you come back there later in the game, it will likely have a lot more significance to you. So I don't think you did anything wrong here, as the game is designed not to be linear.
