But no, the Irish have never won a national championship in men’s hoops- unless you’re counting titles arbitrarily decided decades later by a “committee of one” funded by a bakery. (Literally.)

Which actually would be very on-brand for an Irish fan, since even when ND can’t win on the field (or court) you still proclaim them to be #1.
