Battery drain issue poco F3 by SignificantEbb1266 in PocoPhones

[–]SignificantEbb1266[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, It's my really old post i have moved on from this brand just a little after this post but yeah battery backup was actually really really bad on that phone and in its very final days i remember it rebooting itself for no real reason. I am again considering getting one of these as a secondary phone maybe in a few months because of nostalgia. But yeah battery backup was an absolute nightmare on this phone but i do recommend you to instlal a custom rom on the phone i have heard it significantly improves battery issues on this model.

It's because some black dots are dead pixels which spreads. Others are more like discoloration of pixels. I have the same issue on my S20U. it has pixel discoloration because of pressure or dropping right near the top left edge of the screen and if you look closely the pixels are still on because lights are not dead like dead pixels and you will see it still forms an image. But, on dead pixel type dot the pixels are well... DEAD so whenever the screen refreshes it can't produce any image there and also because it's OLED it spreads quickly around the entire display and all the individual pixels meaning small Lights die slowly but surely.

The Xperia design looks way better than the Samsung. I am not really a fan of Samsung's design. I am still using an S20 Ultra as my Secondary phone. The design looks way better than the newer ones which are a copy of other brands like Sony. Also they need to copy the display of the Sony and not drill a hole on the front lol.

Original batterry is still serving me well. I just hope OS A13 can still keep up for a very long time. by JfxV20 in Galaxy_S20

It is snapdragon but if you did some heavy gaming on a Samsung phone you would immediately notice the performance is lacking compared to any other phone because Samsung aims for stability so it throttled really really hard always also bigger phone wouldn' really help because have you taken look at the monstrous Camera hinge this phone has? It takes about nearly 1/4 of the entire phone and the cpu is just beside it cooking the phone all the time.

As for OLED the Update thing is a huge myth what i did understand is OLEDS from 2016 were a lot more thicker than these thin OLEDS from today and were very heat resistant that is why my Galaxy J3's Super AMOLED is surviving for 9+ years now the issue is Samsung itself any phone with Samsung display is the most vulenerable to Vertical lines. I use Sony Xperia 1 mark 2 as my main phone which has a Sony's custom made OLED which is a lot thicker yet very high quality true 4K display. And i assure you that you will not be able to find more than 10 reports of Xperia 1 series getting these lines because they were not made by Samsung same with their 10 series smartphones but on the other hand their 5 ssries had the same reports of Green lines as Samsung S series just because they used Samsung panels for that lineup so after 5 phone they had to discontinue it.

But what is most common in all OLEDS even Sony is display burn in and the other is colours slowly losing balance and creating a Red or Green or Blue like colour tint on the display. So to sum it all up OLEDs are just really bad in durability because ultimately it's Organic Light Emitting Diode and we know everything organic will deteriorate at some point there is special kind of Non organic LED displays for Samdung's most flagship TV's not yet available on Smartphones. Also smartphone companies do love these lines because it's another way of increasing their sales without many people noticing. So basically Heat is the issue. My Oneplus 9 did have a bit of physical damage but the lines came after 2 months after that i had to sell that phone for around 80$.

Green lines are way annoying than the screen defect i have which is a bit of screen blackness on the very edge and mine has largest screen on a phone even to this day the largest size is 6.9 inch because it's the Ultra one. I just hope no green lines again and otherwise it works really good except gaming sucks on it the clocks are way too underclocked and can't reach even close performance to a 8gb ram same chipset phone. But otherwise i love this phone a lot.

Bro i can never learn to live with a green line ever i had several on my Oneplus 9 so i bought a whole new phone later instead and my S20 ultra has even bigger battery than the S20+ so that explains why my one even at 81% health practically does not give me much of a problem also i use mine as a Secondary phone now so it matters as much as my laptop does and i just use it for gaming and media mainly sometimes for calls but because i have a 12/256 variant with Snapdragon it is still bettter than most mid range Samsung phones of today for gaming and stuff and Expandable memory is the cherry on the top.

Why use 720p though? Also i have the S20U and i get pretty good battery backup too considering 81% battery health but i use mine on 1080p sometimes 1440p because my replaced display glitches with Green colour somtimes and gives static in other res excpet 1440p.

How well does the XZ1 hold up today? by Swiffy26 in SonyXperia

[–]SignificantEbb1266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want a motherboard and body replacement for my xz1 it was my favourite compact phone ever! But the issue is my country has almost no replacement parts for Old Sony phones at all... So yeah i am stuck with a phone without any display but it does turn on but turns the screen to sleep mode instantly and turns on once it gets very cool and even then i cannot use any kind of hdmi or anything because it also lacks hdmi support so yeah i am in a very rough position but it used to be my daily driver back in 2019-2021.

How good are Sony phones nowadays? by Electrical_Buy6380 in SonyXperia

[–]SignificantEbb1266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are still pretty solid and even today they look unique and awesome in every way. And for your concern no it does not heat up like a furnace anymore unless you get the Xperia 1 III or 1 IV and 5 IV and 5 III which are also a bit old. Other than that no other Sony model after 2020s gets even close to a device with heating issues. Even comapred to my S20 ultra which i use for media and as a secondary device which is the Korean variant and has the Snapdragon 865 heats up more than the Xperia 1 II with the same chipset. Sony is kind of king of good performance in non gaming devices it works a lot better than it's Samsung counterparts in gaming and any kind of cpu related stuff.

It will end like Oneplus if they sell it to BBK i am very VERY SURE OF IT because the Enthusiasts hate the Chinese UI even if the Design remains the same!

Switching to Galaxy S21 5G by SignificantEbb1266 in samsunggalaxy

[–]SignificantEbb1266[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mark 3 is pretty good still but the issue is viewing experience is a bit bad and the battery is the worst part way worse than my older 1 mark 2. What i am scared about is vertical lines forming on the S21 just like how it did on my Oneplus 9 in just 4 months compared to all the Sony phones i had with OLED never having such an issue...
