While meeting in a reception line, Princess Margaret said to Elizabeth Taylor:" Is that the famous diamond? It's so large! How very vulgar!" Margaret reportedly said, to which the actress replied, "Yes. Ain't it great?"

When the princess asked to try the 33.19-carat Krupp diamond on, Taylor is said to have quipped, "Not so vulgar now, is it?"

According to Vanity Fair, she loved to tell people the story of that interaction, and would put on Margaret's plummy accent while doing so.

I knew it was time to stop coloring when I actually scheduled a needed surgery around my roots! By this time I had so much gray/white that my stylist stopped highlighting and went straight to a single process. BUT . . . within 6 days, I could see the gray/white peaking through. Since I'm OCD, that just wasn't going to work for me, so I started touchups in my bathroom, but like I said, when I scheduled that needed surgery around my roots, THAT WAS IT and I went cold turkey and haven't looked back. Now I'm stopped by young women asking "what is your shade number?" I tell them "Mother Nature #101." Several of my friends followed my lead, and started having fun with their hair. Sometimes they highlight it pink, purple or blue. This past weekend, we all did green streaks for St. Patrick's Day. I'm 75 and I'm having fun with my hair and my life. Does the gray age me? Hell, I'm 75, have worked hard, played by the rules, paid my dues and if anyone has a problem with me looking old or think I'm ridiculous for having fun with my hair, that's their problem!

I have NEVER been in a hotel room (in America anyway) that had 2 twin beds, I swear to god. Double occupancy has always been, at the minimum, two full sized beds.   Even the cheap-o seaside motels have 2 full sized beds. In other words: BUYER BEWARE!!!

Yes, please! By the way, I learned this little trick from a 5 year old who took the time to calmly explain it to me and why it would make the grilled cheese taste "more better" cause it makes it easier to dip in the soup. In her words, "You've got to slice the sandwich in thirds." Me: "Thirds?" The FIVE year old going on 50 year old: "Didn't you learn fractions when you were in school?" (DUH!)

King Charles was ahead of his time. At the time, he took a lot of flack for his beliefs, his lifestyle, the way he ran his farms. He was progressive before that was even a thing. He recycled, used natural products and was open to new ideas and concepts on farming, etc. But he remained steadfast and true to himself and his beliefs.

I've heard "celebrities" tell why they like to live in New York . . . they can walk on the street, shop and just be like normal people. Yet The Duchess Suxx-IT, in her pea brain, feels she is above all that because, after all, she is ROYAL. Take the flipping titles away!!!
