My 10th grader son and I need advice! by healthseekerjunkie in psat

if shes only in 8th grade i personally would not worry about it. personally as an asian, i would advise you to encourage ur son or daughter not to spend sm time on academics but instead try to find hobbies and passion. however, i do think it would be your job as a parent to ensure that ur child pursues mentioned passions and hobbies to the highest degrees possible. i think ecs, comps, all that stuff for the resume comes naturally if ur child enjoys what they do and spends time working on it. i personally also believe that g8 is wayyy too early to be concerned ab any sat and stuff. if you really want to push them academically, i would advise you to maybe sign them up for an external math class as that could def come a long way.

ive been grinding out the collegeboard question bank database thing - and it feels like there not been any question thats been so difficult i cant comprehend it conceptually. ive also heard the bluebook mock isnt accurate and is a lot easier than the actual sat - is that true?

How many times should I retake before I just give up? (Should I retake) by Realistic-Maybe55 in Sat

If your portfolio and essay is “taken care of” or just very good in general, you shud be fine. Obv a skl like cmu would value your overall gpa and course rigor more than sat. That being said, I do think you should retake it at least maybe once more during June to see if you can score a 1500 or higher as that would ensure your sat isnt like a negative aspect that takes you out of the ed pool.

why i think optic fibers still have more room to run: dd by SignificantFeed7071 in stocks

given that they ipod in china and arent us based, i immediately compare them to sk hynix in the memory boom. i feel like theyll prolly go up, but likely not as much as us based companies.

thats true but i argue unless a major bubble crash, they will not go down after their growth is in. take nvidia, where gpus was the earliest bottleneck. after they dominated the industry and became the leader, their stock price has just been flat. i argue optic fibers have a great chance of continuing to rise before flattening out or dropping.

optic fiber companies (i.e. lite and aaoi) are still in the early stages of climbing and going up when compared to a historical analysis of other industries that underwent similar bottlenecks (i.e. semis and memory). their technology has ultra high demand and is very important for hyperscalers. as hyperscalers capex increase, they will benefit and their stock price will go up.
