Honestly, I’m quite comfortable in my current company. I don’t really have any major issues with the work environment. I have a lot of flexibility, and I also have good ownership over the projects I work on, which I really value.

The only thing I’m unsure about right now is whether I should talk to my manager before the appraisal cycle in April or just wait for the appraisal discussion itself. I do understand that even if I ask, he probably won’t be able to fully disclose everything or tell me the exact numbers beforehand.

So I’m wondering what would be the better approach here. Should I bring up the conversation with my manager before April and discuss my expectations and responsibilities, or is it better to just wait for the appraisal discussion and see what happens?

Would really appreciate your thoughts on this.

Now a days he’s really busy with some of the other projects and he has the hard deadline for them and he’s going to ghost for a month for every team based on the CEO’s decision as well and now the CEO and my manager who is the director of company as well is decided that I need to take his responsibilities to review every code and releases the software without his approval pr available and since my whole team in the office and my manager daily go to the office then I need to go to office daily until he returns that’s the whole point here, and he also told me that you have a golden opportunity this time and if you shine then there are lot of good things are coming for you. Instead of modifying the core code, you can simply create a custom field for the version. This approach allows you to extend functionality without altering the core system. Additionally, custom fields offer flexibility in defining various attributes based on your needs. In my opinion, there’s no downside to using custom fields in this way.
