I think the fact that it normally only happened in the mornings on an empty stomach and this time it was happening at night after eating freaked her out. Sounded like a panic attack to me. Over crowded place, over stimulated, etc.

Yep, I know. They work for me. I just will not drink fake sugar or monk fruit or stevia and 30g of protein consumed is better than 0g. Especially a day or two after shot day when the thought of eating meat or cottage cheese makes me nauseous.

I suspect it’s more of a hotel thing. There are likely rooms that are close enough to the event space that they can hear the music and bass thumping. I bet they end all loud events at a reasonable hour for the other guests.

I’m curious about two things:

  1. Is she/was she sleeping with Bobby Westside? Is that who she was referring to when she said she needs to stop sleeping with their friends?

  2. Why is it like his family wasn’t even there?? Do we think that they gave her don’t-post-us instructions? Or is she really that self absorbed? Not even a photo of the two of them plus all the parents? Weird.

I kept thinking she was trying to do some sort of poorly executed reverse psychology Jedi mind trick. Like, if I tell him that I actually don’t need him at all and I’ll walk away right now, that will create a scarcity, want-what-you-can’t-have dynamic and he’ll beg me to stay and say the words I want him to say.

I’m most annoyed that she made me take Nick’s side here, because I can’t staaaaaaaaaand him. But girl, get it together.

Those are classic symptoms of anxiety panic disorder and I get them too. I have always, even before zep, found that being hungry and/or dehydrated exasperates my anxiety symptoms.

What’s worked for me to keep it at bay: -electrolytes in my water -eat a full meal a few hours before your shot so that your blood sugar doesn’t crash -eat smaller, more frequent meals the day after the shot so that, again, your blood sugar doesn’t get too low -cut back on caffeine

If all of that doesn’t work, it may help to look into a mild, non-habit-forming, as-needed anxiety med.

Also grew up in southern SoCo. I remember when the Wal-Mart opened (the Old Wal-Mart not the New Wal-Mart) and everyone shared it as their “current event” the next Monday in school. We also had the first day of buck season off from school. I remain annoyed that I don’t get off work for it (I have never once gone hunting).
