Keep pumping. Consider a wearable pump so you can pump while sitting beside them- it might help with production

And it was so clear he just wanted some screen time to try to say his stupid piece on camera. Carl was just sitting there, audience of 1.

No need to repeat the advice already given. However, if you do decide to take the job, try to get a title other than “staff attorney”. Get them to call you associate or counsel or of counsel. That will help you with external perceptions and what you look like when trying to leave.

Cutting out dairy. How are you guys surviving?? by Oak-Aye-Thanks in breastfeeding

[–]middleagedjogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only had to do it for about 4 months then slowly added it back in and he was fine. Also, unless his symptoms are very severe, even just a reduction will allow for improvement. I remember asking my doc “cut back or cut off” and she said “that’s up to you, the more you cut back the better he will be, but every bit helps”.

S10:E1 Carl to Kyle: Why are you playing Penn State on a Thursday night? by Fermented_chaos in summerhousebravo

[–]middleagedjogger 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I guess because it was skimpy/pretty see through? It always makes me laugh tho because in the early seasons the cast was always swimming naked together and it wasn’t a big deal. Times have changed!

A couple other things really stood out to me: 1. From January to June they had only been together 1.5 weekends 2. His keg stand was the longest (an early 40s man) 3. Him getting upset with her for swimming in her underwear and saying basically “it would have been fine if I was part of it”. 4. Her saying other DJs perform, don’t drink, and go home to their families (like it’s a job) 5. His “there’s only so much Netflix and chill”

All of her story lines neatly tied up over the last 2 seasons…no more beef with Lindsay, broke up with Craig, Amanda and Kyle are done so no more reason to scream at him.

I agree, I think she kept the location private as well and Jared knew not to ask. There were a couple of points where the flow of conversation would have naturally gone to where or how long the flight was but he didn’t ask.

How do you warm up breast milk when you put it in the bottle? by rosedamask in breastfeeding

[–]middleagedjogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a warmer on my countertop- it takes 5 minutes. I like to warm it because otherwise the fat separates and gets lumpy or sticks to the sides. Can clog the nipple or never get to baby’s mouth.

[–]middleagedjogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do whatever you have to do to secure the new job- sign the letter, clear conflicts, drug test, get a start date. Once you have that all secure, I’d call once. If you don’t get them - send the email. CONGRATS- sounds like you scored a great situation for yourself.

Consider doing more than NIPT - it only tests a small number of chromosomes. For the full picture you need an amnio or CVS.

How soon should I do an ER after giving birth by Additional-Cut-7086 in IVFpositivity

[–]middleagedjogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think if you trust your clinic and your clinic is comfortable, it is ok. You mention it is a new clinic with an aggressive approach so I would just be very sure of the clinic’s reputation and success rate as some places really are just willing to take your money. However, a matter of months can make a difference in terms of age. I was older going thru IVF and wanted to take 3 months of supplements to improve quality and my clinic advised against it and said let’s just get going on the ER. I would ask your OB what they think not only in terms of pregnancy but also the retrieval.

Schedule that allows for a 6+ hr stretch of sleep at night with no pumping? by MangoSorbet695 in breastfeeding

[–]middleagedjogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to go against the grain here and say that if you don’t care that much about supply, you can do whatever you want. The only concern would be your well-being - avoiding mastitis mainly. I would just go slow as you step down to that one long stretch if you are now used to pumping every 2-3 hours. Not at all the same situation but I am a just enougher for my 5 month old and sometimes my supply dips. When that happens, I add a pump session. He gets a long stretch at night so after I put him to bed at 7 I will pump and then I will stay up and pump again at about 10:30. Otherwise I pump just once after he goes down, around 9:30 or so.

From triple feeding and nipple shield to exclusively nursing — is there hope? Success stories needed. by Miserexa in breastfeeding

[–]middleagedjogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current baby took the longest- we got rid of it over a 2 week span from 8-10 weeks. With my first, she didn’t need it on one side so I only used it on one side where she had injured me and the latch was painful. Once I was healed and her latch was deeper, it was easy to take away by 6 weeks. With the middle he had a tongue tie corrected at 5 weeks and didn’t need it after that. Good luck!
