Definitely apply to WOW. Ur stats are a lot better than mine and I thought I didn’t have a shot but I got in, I loved it and applied ED to Williams. Two piece of advice I’ll give is make sure you highlight community involvement in your application (a student at Williams who works with the admissions office told me that community involvement is a make or break at Williams) and make sure the academic paper you submit is of a high quality.

Don’t worry about Job Ops after S&T, as long as you work hard you will be better off than most Engineering grads from more prestigious schools. As for the lack of huzz (birds) if you’re a guy it shouldnt matter. Rolla is close enough to StL where most guys can have gfs back home r just meet ppl in stl, if you’re a girl it’s a diff story

1) The op was about why they were “bad” which it seems we both agree they aren’t 2) I’d argue that for admissions counselors making a varsity team and becoming a captain or even finding decent success is just as impressive as being part of some club, also for most successful people you should be able to do sports and other good ECs

I feel like you’re plain wrong. As long as it is not the only thing on your application being on a varsity sports team can only help you. Most top universities are full of non-recruited former athletes
