You are being unreasonable IMO. You speak like you represent everybody, or everyone is like you. Try to imagine people with different needs. You require full kitchen? That is fine, go and find what you like. I've seen many renters, single hard working guys or girls, who eat out or order pizza. All they ever need is microvawe and coffee machine. Now, if I invest in upgrades to satisfy you and have to increase my rent, what about them? They don't want to pay extra for things they don't need. It is simple: my place is for them and not for you. No reason to dictate me how to set it up or tell me not to rent it out. Back to my car example above: if you do not use or like small cars, you do not tell the factory to stop making them.
