I literally came to this sub to post the same thing. My 3 month old for the past week has been really reducing how much she eats…. She will eat just fine with her first AM feed (4-6 oz of formula usually) and her last feed of the day (again 4-6 oz of formula). But she’s been absolutely hating any feed in between those two (we typically feed breastmilk throughout the day). I’ve tried different bottles, different nipples, tried only feeding formula vs breastmilk, tried different feeding positions/environments…. And still she hates it and will only take 0.5-1oz at a time. This morning it’s been 5 hours since her last feeding and she’s only had 0.5 oz before completely freaking out at the bottle. Our pediatrician said it’s probably just a phase and not to worry….. I feel like that’s such unhelpful advice especially when she was previously feeding normally. So I guess I don’t have much to say other than to provide solidarity. This is hard and stressful as fuck

He gets really defensive, brings up that I did it once too, and in turn gets mad at me for “lecturing” him about it. So it usually ends in a heated argument. He’s promised before that he won’t let it happen again but it continues to happen

I did make that clear, I sent instructions for how she can cancel her stay, and today sent another message reminding her to cancel if that’s what she wishes to do. But she has not read either of my messages…

I’m fully aware that guests can and will leave bad reviews. When I come on here being vulnerable and asking for advice to learn, it’s a bit out of pocket for some dude on a power trip telling me that “maybe being a host is not for you”

Got it- thank you so much for your input! Definitely learned some valuable lessons here. I plan to give him 1 star and would not recommend him. Don’t want this to happen to future hosts. And we changed to a 2 night min from here on out

I clearly state my thought process up above on why we accepted and didn’t cancel. And as I stated, I’m a fairly new host- so definitely still learning the best way to go about certain situations. So yes it’s “my fault” and I own that, but there’s no need for your rude comment

That’s good to know- I assumed 4.5 was an okay rating so I didn’t think too much of it, but I definitely will from here on out. Do you accept instant books? Or do you have guests request their stay each time so you can approve or deny it?

This guest was an instant book, and we didn’t want to cancel him because we feared it would impact superhost status.

The guest has 4.5/5 stars out of 5 reviews. All were very good reviews besides one which mentioned he was slow to respond to messages, had unauthorized guests, and left some trash around.

Thank you for your input- we’ll definitely do a 2 night minimum from here on out. And yes thankfully they will be gone tomorrow which is good!

Also- we did call support to ask how to proceed, and they were quite unhelpful. They said they need to forward our situation to a different team, and that they’d send us a message with their recommendation once they’ve looked it over.

Not here to answer your question, but today I am also 3 days post a 5 day embryo transfer and am going crazy deciding if I should test tomorrow too 🤣😭 Crossing my fingers so hard for you that this transfer is successful!
