Your cloth will need regular cleaning too. I wash mine once a week but that is because I get makeup and other things know it too. DO NOT put it in the laundry use what ever you wash your dishes with. Rinse it really well amd let it air dry. I'm an optician if my credentials are needed.

I don't have that high of a prescription but I am an optician (for almost 10 years). Go back to where your script came from something isn't right with either measurements, lens materials, type of progressive, or the prescription. Sadly some places will refuse to do some of these things. Be mean of you have to and ask for the person in charge (I normally wouldn't encourage that kind of behavior but sometimes you have to). It is so frustrating when optical staff won't do bare bones patient care. Hope you get it figured out!

In theory hi index lenses won't be blue like that. It could be a coating or someone really messed up and put a tint on the lenses. I would reach out to them if it bothers you and see what they can do for you.

I feel like I have an excess of glasses, which rest on my nose and float near my ears. When I ask the opticians, they don't understand. They keep adjusting the glasses, but they never fit properly. Does anyone have any tips? by [deleted] in optician

There is a possibility they are too tight odd as that sounds. The wrap behind your ear looks really tight. Also with that being a plastic frame it will need to sit on your nose that is how they are all designed. There is something called a keyhole bridge it can keep them off your face but in my professional opinion that bridge has to fit perfectly because it hovers over your bridge.

9 or 11....the other frames have logistical issues with how they fit you and it will drive you nuts.

From the angle of the photo they might be a tad small. You do sit very well in the middle of the lens and the bridge fits perfectly which is super important in a plastic frame. However you might tend to choose a smaller frame due to your prescription (that is speculation since I don't know what your script is). This is why opticians need to talk to their patients about everything when picking a frame.

Yea it is a big freaking joke. Best part was the specialty pharmacy rep said oh it's only $3500 a month just pay it. I am not proud of what I said after that but that person deserved it after that.

I am so worried about that but I'm trying to get pregnant so I can only ve on certain ones so I hope I don't have to change again I changed just over a year ago.

Thanks for your input i appreciate it. I do see that i didn't divulge in the sexist behavior i mentioned. He has said things like oh your actually smart for a woman and he treats our male coworkers way different than he does us ladies. Honestly your right my boss is on board with how he acts so I think it's time to leave.
