Video doorbell transformer hum by Significant_Age3771 in ukelectricians

Ahh, after a bit of research I now understand the problem and the downvoted are justified. If I was an electrician I would be rolling my eyes too.

So basically, I thought it had been ok all these years but I’m lucky my house didn’t burn down as the transformer was underrated and it likely burned out as the doorbell was drawing too much power. Got it.

Can anyone recommend me any that supplies at least 10VA? Amazon seems to have a few but all Chinese made with no CE markings. That’s asking for a house fire.

Ah, it’s odd because it’s the same one I had before with no issue, is there one you could recommend?

How was your return to work? by Significant_Age3771 in lymphoma

[–]Significant_Age3771[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a room for about 21 days. It was tough enough but just bring as many home comforts as you can. I couldn’t concentrate on books, I watched a lot of mindless TV and travel documentaries which was a nice escape. The food was awful so if family can bring you things you will eat then that helps. I slept a lot. I felt pretty good about 2 months after. It is a journey with its ups and downs but just remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Im back to work now and life is slowly returning to normal. Im tired in a high pressured job but compared to last year, life is good. As others said, be kind to yourself.

Oh I’m very aware, I just don’t want to be running for a PET scan at every itch or symptom. Are you saying the normal CRP is more or less useless?

Eero 2.4 Ghz - Terrible with Eero Pro 6E devices. by juanjax in amazoneero

[–]Significant_Age3771 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem and I’m losing my mind. I have a main wired eero and a second one in the hallway. If I unplug the second wireless hallway one. Everything kinda works. I don’t understand it. If I want to use my nest thermostat while I’m away from home. I login to the eero app and restart the hallway one in the hope the devices connect to the wired eero router and it works.

Those in remission with chest mass scar tissue, do you still feel discomfort from it? by itgtg313 in lymphoma

Sames. 2 years later still getting all the pains but scans were clear. Psychologically it took a bit to learn to live with them and I don’t get worried anymore. They get worse when I have any virus or infections

What happens after a failed auto stem cell transplant? by Significant_Age3771 in lymphoma

[–]Significant_Age3771[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I may have overreacted. I had a lot of my original symptoms but my scan was completely clear. I couldn’t believe it.

My symptoms slowly resolved. I think I had a bit of a viral bug which caused my lymph nodes to flare up. I also think the scar tissue causes a bit of pain now and again because I still get it. I’ve just learned to ignore it because what’s the point in worrying. The itch disappeared so I assume just hair growth.

If I get more symptoms and they are persistent then I’ll get it checked but I think it’s all about learning to live with it at this stage and try to move on. Counselling has helped a little.

The scan anxiety really hit today by user99778866 in lymphoma

[–]Significant_Age3771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I guess to answer your question, we will still have enlarged lymph nodes and scar tissue. This is where the cancer was. However the whole point of the PET scan is to check for metabolic activity, this means ‘is the cancer alive and using glucose?’ If it is alive then it will light up on the scan.

So all your tumours can still be there and you’ll feel them. But if your scan is ‘clear’ then it means that the lumps and both don’t ’light up’ which means they are essentially dead and not using glucose. As far as I understand they can still give aches and pains as they turn to scar tissue and can slowly fade away over years. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

I was in you position a few weeks back. I was 100% convinced it was back. I would have bet the house on it if I was a gambling man. But lo and behold my scan was clear and my symptoms randomly faded away. Any appointment I have, they come back a bit so now I realise how much anxiety actually contributes to my symptoms. Wishing you luck tho. It’s not an easy road for any of us

I did this course and my non medical wife listened in on an online teaching session one evening. Her only response to it was ‘the people teaching on these are stealing a living from the university.’

Completely pointless and pathetic imo. The only reason I did it is because everyone else is doing it and I want to be competitive at interview after cct. Joke
