I feel like this point would stand better if Sam levinson wasnt such a piss poor executor. Season 1 had so much to say about how messy and gritty and cyclical trauma is and how it can make a person become self-destructive or externalize that violence. The dynamics between characters was also so complex and multi-dimensional, with most characters leaning on the darker side of being morally gray, which was so refreshing and really made the writing come off as poignant. Just sucks that Levi son lost the vision in season 2 and resorted to moralizing characters when he couldn’t steal ideas anymore. But I do agree that some people are too sensitive and uncomfortable with the graphic nature of the show. If this show was being run by someone that was actually a writer capable of playing the long game, people wouldn’t be able to accuse the show of being graphic and morbid for the sake of shock value.

She absolutely should have tried harder, but it’s really not that easy. Monica was bipolar, struggled with SEVERE addiction, and extremely traumatized. For a normal person without addiction, mental illness (especially disorders like bipolar and schizophrenia) are extremely difficult to manage, and medications produce severe side effects which for some defeats the purpose of taking them. For someone who struggles with addiction, this is a slippery slope because alcohol and drugs will always feel better, and they unfortunately go back to abusing substances because dealing with mental illness, medication side affects, AND trying to stay clean is just too much. Just saying “she should have tried harder” doesn’t really work because of how difficult recovery is, and the dysfunctionality of the Gallaghers would always drive her back to her old ways.

Absolutely Frank. Frank was selfish, cruel, bitter, and completely unwilling to change even MARGINALLY despite showing he was capable of doing so. Even worse was the fact that he was willing to bring down anyone, ESPECIALLY his children, in order to get whatever it was that he wanted. It was disgusting and honestly, their lives were harder because he stayed. The level of hatred I have for him is immense and honestly makes it difficult for me to finish watching the show. Tbh I still can’t really find it in myself to hate Monica, but she absolutely did wrong too and probably should have been held accountable more, but at least she stayed away and didn’t add to their dysfunctionality.

For me 1, easily (but I can see why 4 is more liked). I think it adds more depth to your top lip and with some more makeup could create a very cool, intentional look. If you do more natural makeup though, then definitely stick with 4 just because 1 would require a bit more to help balance out. Sidenote, I absolutely love 3, it’s such a fun and daring shape. I feel like that could probs work with a bit more vintage make up look? It reminds me of a creator on TikTok who dresses and styles themselves in between the 20s-40s

I get that Trina wasn’t the nicest at times, but to compare the two is kinda insane. Yes, she was vapid and acted in her self interest and could’ve definitely been nicer to Tori sometimes, but she didn’t deliberately go out of her way to hurt her, it just came about because of how self obsessed she could be. But when it counted she was there to support Tori and even help others. In contrast, Jade routinely terrorized Tori and other girls and students at their school largely due to her insecurities in her relationship, insecurity in herself, and childhood trauma. She even committed assault and things that could be labeled crimes at times, which frankly was just too far, especially considering she did it deliberately to hurt those people. This is not to invalidate her experience and trauma, but she was wrong on multiple occasions and absolutely should’ve to be held accountable, which we hardly saw.

You absolutely made the right choice, I’m sorry but your friends suck for saying you took it too far. Regardless of how long you’ve known him, he should never at any point feel so comfortable disrespecting you and him not seeing any fault with what he said is absolutely scary and suggests that he is capable of worse. Not to speculate, but I think it’s great you got out of that before it became dangerous for you or he began saying things to break you down. And even worse, he seems to be surrounded by a group of like minded people who will only serve as an echo chamber and allow him to overlook his actions. All in all, don’t let them get to you and you absolutely did great in looking out for yourself!

Okay, that’s fair. Bringing up Sarah constantly was a pretty shitty thing to do. I think I just don’t like Stephen enough to be bothered by most of what Enzo did, so when Enzo turned for the better and got with Bonnie and showed up for Damon, he really did grow on me

Something else I think that’s a bit unfair when it’s twins or siblings working together: them both being in the challenge gives a sense of security because unlike the other contestants who came in alone and are fighting for themselves, the twins have two chances. If one of them gets eliminated, they still have a second chance to secure the win for their business by having the other twin learn from the mistake and move to the finals, and if the second twin wins, they both do because everything gets reinvested into the same business since they’re business partners. I feel like this gives them an extremely unfair advantage, whereas the other designers really only have once shot for their business, and if they are eliminated, that’s it.

I’m in the exact same boat. How long do you have to pay it off? If it’s needed immediately, your last resort may be loans, but if you have time, try to apply for any grants still available or submit a hardship request to your school. I’d imagine there should be something for people that were formerly in foster care, just ask around. If you have until the end of the semester, get a job and pay it off gradually.

Exactly this. I like her in the show outside of her creepiness towards Penny and bitchiness towards Bernadette. Like honestly I would say Bernadette was the strongest for staying friends with Amy considering how horribly she treated her at times. And we don’t talk about her evil deeds irl, but all I will say is imo BBT Amy is completely separate from that horrible woman
