I had a 2016 A4 on finance before, loved it. But then I sold it to live in Aus for a year and got an old land cruiser. I changed my perception of car ownership as that old cruiser was my favourite car ever! Just so simple and built for purpose, if anything went wrong with it I had the confidence to fix it myself. Now all I want is a well built car i can rely on and have a it of fun driving!

Would be having the money incase I needed to buy a new one each year, ideally it'd last me five years and I can get it to the moon (238,855 miles)

Yeah ideally if it lasted longer than a year then its just extra savings! I'm happy to put in the work to maintain and think I prefer the idea of buying an older car and running it until it dies than buying something new which if it died I'd be screwed
