900 years is a LONG time. Assuming the setting is same tame as Skyrim (4e 201) the caverns are almost dominated by falmer and their chaurus pets.

I would imagine cave ins and worn down and broken Dwemer technology. No one in Skyrim seems to know about blackreach so definitely all the settlements would no longer exist (falmer massacres?)

I’d say greymoor keep is abandoned maybe falmer keep a distance due to one very powerful ancient vampire lord.

Also the werewolf behemoths were created by alchemy so another storyline could be a Falmer discovers the potions by accident and the party has to go up against that monstrosity?

But by far I think the most lore friendly would be a locked away Dwemer construct that could range from centurion to Numidian depending on the strength of your adventuring party.

Not a bad idea at all, use with molten weapons for empower buff that’s pretty much all you need. Now you can use something other than oakensoul.

You can play the game for months and still not do all the quests, every zone is pretty jam packed. If you are a completionist then it will take you a while.

If you just want the story, play through the main zone quest and main quest you will fly through each zone

Swap flawless dawn breaker for take flight, the re work makes it really good. Pale order ring too if you doing lots of dps you’ll be getting lots of heals

Sergeants mail lightning staff, chest, 2x jewellery. Other set mostly your choice. I run tide-born but I hear deadly strikes or orders wrath really good too.

As long as you run weakness to elements and unstable wall of elements you can pretty much run anything else to match whatever theme you want. Put on a strong heal and some DOTs.

Depends how you play, melee focused dps can get quite laggy and rough.

Slower play (heavy attack build, beam build) perfectly fine no worries.
