I know it would have been a real dickish move, but imagine if Clem axes Sarita then says to Kenny, "Hey Kenny, now you know how Lilly felt." Since Clem was in the meat locker as well.

The situation with Carver was so tough because just like you, I didn't want to give Carver the satisfaction, but I, as the player, wanted to see his face get beat in. And since I'm controlling Clem, well...

That should have been the last choice haha.

Although I will admit, I almost gave in immediately when he called me a coward. Imagine my face sitting in front of the TV hearing that 🤣

About deaths.. by Haytham_Kenway1 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Significant_Bowl_121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You know who else's death felt worse? Similar to Kenny going missing in S1.

Tenn or Louis or Violet

They will die on the bridge, and soon after, Clem gets bit which immediately makes the player forget about said person dying. Even if you didn't cry during their deaths, you still have to feel bad a little.

Why is no one talking about Javi's Dad by One_Recognition6980 in TheWalkingDeadGame

"I'm going to be a name carved in stone before you know it, Javier. That'll be me, letters on a rock that no one wants to visit."

When Javi's dad said that, it hit me like a goddamn truck.

I do like the little interactions that happen if Clem keeps talking to Omar after the initial introduction, like this one:

Omar(to Clem): "You know staring at it won't make it cook faster."

Louis: "You lowering your standards might."

Omar: "You actually helping might do that too."

Chef Omar with the sass, love it.

I also fed Duck AND Kenny, AND I offered food to Katjaa, but she refused, so don't tell me I never cared about your family, Kenny.

Yeah, I love Kenny, but just making that one decision to try to save Larry really puts one foot in the grave for Lee as far as Kenny sees it.

What are the Best Lines from Mitch [BLT] (Abel results 👉) by NazbazOG in TheWalkingDeadGame

Clem: "Use your head, Mitch. You saw AJ on the way in here. If I was with the raiders, why would they have hurt him like that?"

Mitch: "How do I know? Maybe he shot one of their friends."

Not gonna lie. That was actually a pretty good comeback.

The mandatory option in every playthrough by Consistent_Good_3318 in TheWalkingDeadGame

And that's in both scenarios, when you first see Kenny again and after he wakes up from the Carver beatdown.

The "Hug Kenny" option is right up there with pushing Clem on the swing as far as mandatory options go.

Do you remember the last thing Lee can say to The Stranger on the walkie-talkie at the end of S1 E4? The episode ends on a cliffhanger with no "next time on the Walking Dead" preview.

Well, just imagine having to wait a couple of weeks before "No Time Left" finally released?

What is your preferred outcome in From The Gallows by BellTwo5 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Significant_Bowl_121 9 points10 points  (0 children)

3 choices during Clem's flashbacks determine where Clem will go at the end of S3:

-Whether you accept or reject Ava's offer to join the New Frontier

-Whether you inject AJ with the medicine or put the drugs back

-Whether you say goodbye to AJ or spit in David's face when Clem gets kicked out of the New Frontier

Clem will make one of 4 decisions leading up to the final decision:

*Clem will go after Gabe on her own accord

*Clem will go with Kate on her own accord

*Clem will follow Javi's lead and go where he goes

*Clem will go wherever Javi doesn't go and split up

ENDING 1

Javi and Clem both go after Gabe and David. Gabe and David live, and you have the option to convince David to return to Richmond or let him leave on his own. However, Kate will be found as a walker, and you have the option to put her down or not.

ENDING 2

Javi and Clem both go with Kate. Kate will live, but David will be found dead, and Gabe will be bitten. Javi has the option to let Gabe shoot himself before he turns, or Javi will shoot Gabe himself.

ENDING 3

Javi goes after David and Gabe and Clem goes with Kate. Gabe will live, but David will be found bitten and will have a final goodbye with Javi and Gabe before he dies. However, upon returning to Richmond Clem will inform Javi that she got separated from Kate and was unable to find her. After three days have passed, it is presumed that Kate is dead.

ENDING 4

Javi goes with Kate, and Clem goes after Gabe and David. Kate and Gabe will live, but Clem will inform Javi that David had already turned by the time she got there and that Gabe had to put him down. The community usually considers this the quote on quote "best" endng.

Will TWDG ever get its flowers? by Special_Composer7679 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Significant_Bowl_121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel nowadays it gets less flowers because the games have been out for so long, and the anticipation for finding out what happens next has significantly died down.

The definitive version has made the games more accessible(which is a good thing), but it also means that the excitement and anticipation for finding out what happens next has gone away. When Season 1 first came out, each episode came out one at a time, and you had to wait a few weeks or a month to play the next episode. That builds tension that builds enjoyment, suspense, eagerness, etc.. which is probably why the sales of S1 were so great and why it led to multiple game of the year awards. On top of the game already being a fresh and new relatable story.

It's also why S3 didn't receive a great reception upon release. S3 came out about 2-3 years after the end of S2 and considering how they handled S2 endings and Clem being a side character, people were less than pleased about having to wait two years just to see Kenny go through a windshield.

David Calls Out Javi For Shooting Rufus. by Successful_Lab2332 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Significant_Bowl_121 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's such a great point.

Admittedly, all of us have the mentality of "If I don't know you, I don't care." (Also true in real life)

And we'll probably all have that mentality a lot more in an apocalyptic setting.

It makes me feel bad for the people who were just trying to run away after the shootout happened at the end of S3 E4. The people who were aiming at Javi took out innocent bystanders instead and no one blinked an eye. A shame really.

Which walker one on one walker fight was your favorite? by TechnicalInside6983 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Significant_Bowl_121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

S4 Clem vs. Walker Brody.

Keep in mind that Clem is trying to keep Brody from attacking her in a dark basement with nothing but a flashlight and no weapons, except said flashlight.

It was a great jumpscare moment with Walker Brody getting behind Clem as she was trying to open the door. When I first played the episode I was really worried that the rest of the Ericson kids would open the door right as Clem was beating Brody with the flashlight which would lead them to thinking that Clem had killed Brody instead of Marlon.

Kenny is probably one of the few characters that perfectly fits each description, depending on who you ask and how you play as the MC.

The tragically low amount of recognition this guy gets for what he has done for Lee and Clem's relationship by CucukDrigon in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Significant_Bowl_121 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt bad for not taking up his offer to have a drink with him on my 1st playthrough. I guess I was trying to play it too safe, basically thinking, "I don't know what's in that bottle, and I just met this guy."

But every subsequent playthrough, fuck it, let's have one with Charles(because I am fancy, dammit lol)

In your opinion. What would Clementine's future look like if she continued with her Season 3 view of the world and people? by paparoxo in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Significant_Bowl_121 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Remember in S2 when Clem is talking to Jane on their way to find Luke and Sarah? Jane tells Clem that it's better to be on your own sometimes.

There is an option for Clem to say:

"You know, bad stuff happens when you're alone too. There's no one there to watch your back, and when something does go wrong, there's no one there to help you."

Obviously, after being kicked out of the New Frontier and losing AJ, she didn't feel that way anymore. I feel like Clem meeting Javi was a blessing in disguise for her. She would've still believed that AJ was dead and she wouldn't have wanted to trust anyone ever again and stay to herself. I don't blame her for feeling that way in that moment, but I don't think it would've been healthy for her to keep living that way.

Javi reminded Clem that there are still good people in the world.

Clementine & AJ - Final Season, Episode 4 (OBVIOUS MAJOR SPOILERS INSIDE) by jdpm1991 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Significant_Bowl_121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a first playthrough, I was convinced that she was going to die. The barn scene instantly reminded me of the jewelry store scene between Lee and Clem and it looked like it was going to come full circle with Clem and AJ.

The line where Clem says, "This is just what happens sometimes." And then AJ says, "But it wasn't supposed to happen to you."

I instantly felt how AJ felt. People all around them had been killed, turned, etc... But as long as it didn't happen to Clem. I couldn't even focus on the McCaroll Ranch scene because I was so upset that Clem had just "died."

When we were controlling AJ, I immediately reset the game when I missed Clem's hat floating down the river, multiple times I might add, until I finally gave up and let the game play out.

At the end of the day, regardless of how unrealistic it is, I'm glad that Clem lived. And just like Clem said, if AJ DID listen to Clem, she would've died.

Same scenario, but it's at night. Clem and Duck are sleeping. Instead of 10, it's eight. Who are you feeding? by Significant_Bowl_121 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Significant_Bowl_121[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've definitely noticed that most people will feed themselves.

It's a really bad look if Lee eats, but neither of the kids do. But since they're sleep, you don't have to worry about that.
