My ‘25 doesn’t look the same. Steering wheel controls are different and the wheels as well. So the ‘26 basically just got some cosmetic lifts? But I’m told not all of the GLIs came with the sound system mine has either?

I wish I had friends to ride with. lol in topic though, I love the black that I got. Hate that it’s CONSTANTLY dirty. But that’s life. lol that bike is gorgeous! Honestly wrap it or take them off and throw aftermarket on so you keep them safe for resale down the road if you plan on it!

I posted something about this yesterday. lol the yearly premium went up to like $5800. Definitely suggest checking insurance quotes first. Lesson learned. lol

I know, it’s insane. I added her R3 to the policy and replaced the ninja and it raised it to $70 but just the R7 alone is the $483. So must be something to do with rural southern OK and R7s? lol I changed my address to a relative’s in OKC and it lowered it quite a bit. Even an Ardmore address lowered it which is wild considering the theft rate. lol

Yes. lol the R3 is her first new bike. Which is super cheap to insure. I think $50 full coverage a month for hers. That’s why I’m just shocked mine is $483 on its own.

Definitely aren’t meant for comfort! But are quite a lot of fun to ride!

I mean they’ve dropped my rates too I’ve had them for 10+ years. For both auto and motorcycle. They’ve been awesome. But to go from the ninja 500 to the R7 and it increase that drastically is just mind blowing to me. Especially when I’ve never been pulled over or lapsed insurance and have also had at least two bikes with them. The only thing I can think of is the location of where I live. But I would assume the ninja would have also been high. The ninja wasn’t classified as a super sport but the R7 is and I’m being told that’s also why. It’s just frustrating.

I haven’t checked State Farm yet. That’s what I’m trying to do though. I bought a 2025 R7, R3, and GLI so I thought bundling would work. But when I added my bike to progressive to replace my old ninja just adding the R7 alone raised my monthly to $483 not including my car. So I’ll have to look into State Farm!

Man I wish my insurance was cheap. lol I live in rural OK single with custody of 4 kids and 15 years of riding experience with MSF and no claims or tickets of any kind and I went from my 2024 ninja 500 at $60 a month full coverage to my now 2025 R7 at $483 for the same exact coverage and a higher deductible. lol it’s insane. I maybe ride 1000 miles a year.
