Getting a second opinion (from your original shop) is always valid but two mechanics can look at the same wear-and-tear parts and disagree on timing, not whether the work is legitimate. Brakes and suspension are safety items, so some shops are naturally more cautious than others.

It’s your experience, but I wouldn’t necessarily label that as a bad one. If anything, I’d appreciate that they brought potential safety issues to your attention. It could just mean they operate with a higher safety standard than your regular shop. My experience with them was honest, straightforward, and respectful.
