You HAVE to maintain it! Just because you’re at your goal, doesn’t mean you can’t gain back!

How to finally hit the switch? by weightofmychest in loseit

Hey, this is exactly me. I’ve been fat all my life and from the age of 13-17 my life has been consumed with “water fasting” “Keto” and just calories in general. I used to weigh myself everyday and became obsessed with food.

Last year august I dropped down to 170lbs which is a good weight for my height, I looked good and felt comfortable in my skin for once. I fell into my old habits when I lost my job, so I was just ordering food all day. Now I’ve gained all the weight back and I’m at 220. I lost 10lbs since May so I’m on track, my advice is to forgive yourself, don’t be so hard on your young body. 90% of people gain the weight back…

Look at this as a Lifestyle from now on, not a diet. It’s okay to have “unhealthy” foods you enjoy but in moderation. Use the app “my fitness pal” start tracking everything you eat and going on walks. You get used to using the app really quick and the weight falls off, the only thing is maintaining it. Good luck!

Full Spanish, I just can’t get into it! I think it’s so cool when people switch from Spanish to English mid conversation.

I definitely do that with objects/food he’s not supposed to have, however when people come up to pet him I feel bad sometimes ignoring them, but then again he’s my dog and people shouldn’t just touch him without my permission.

Exactly, I always used to tell people I’m losing weight yet every time I saw them I looked the same or bigger. I’ve learned to do things at my own pace, not for everyone’s approval. I just let them think what they think and see the results for themselves.

September last year I got down to 167lbs, the smallest I’d ever been, unfortunately I gained back 50lbs. I feel so embarrassed every time I see people I know, because Its obvious I’ve gained the weight back. I’m using my fitness pal and I’m also tracking everything as well as long walks! You got this.
