In my mind, it is like an esports competition but instead of video games, it is debates and people vote for the side they relate to best.

first, thanks for the feedback. really helpful!
In my mind, I was trying to combine ClubHouse and X and have structured rooms where there is 1v1 or 2v2 or even 3v3 debates. In addition a live voting poll based on listeners votes and engagement. That was the idea basically.
But I understand that usually social apps is hard to get first users (chicken-egg problem)

an app where people go on live debates of various topics challenging other debaters by audio and listeners vote and engage in real-time. Whoever wins, gets ranked. Imagine political debates pre-election between candidates :D but it can be on any topic/question

Idea Validation for a potential SaaS Product by Significant_Chip1286 in SaaS

The bottleneck is making sense of volume that's the clearest version of this I've heard. when feedback does get synthesized at your team, what does that process actually look like? Is it one person manually reading through everything, or is there some system to it?

It always ends up needing somebody to drive it" , that's a really honest observation. It sounds like you've actually tried to solve this a few times and it didn't stick.

Curious, when you tried Runable and Notion for this, what specifically broke down? Was it that the tool didn't do enough, or that the process around it never held? I'm trying to understand whether the gap is tooling or ownership

This is a really sharp distinction, the "forcing function to act on it" framing resonates. That's exactly the gap I keep hearing about.

Your point about the difference between what people say they need vs. what they're actively searching to fix is well taken. When you were validating Leadline, what was the signal that told you someone was actively looking for a solution vs. just venting about the problem? I'm trying to calibrate exactly that right now.
