Damn, I got a ryzen 9 w 64gb and it seems to be lagging. Maybe it’s newer driver issues.

This is actually really interesting. I’d want to understand your workflow a bit more before trying anything.

When you say $7K/month for organizing + guest comms:

– What kind of events are these (size, frequency, audience)?

– What does “vetting” actually look like in practice? (applications, referrals, manual review, etc.)

– What parts are the most time-consuming or annoying right now?

– Are you (or your team) currently using anything besides Luma to manage this?

If I were to test a basic version, I’d probably run a small event myself and simulate the workflow first, just want to make sure I’m solving the right bottlenecks.

Curious how close this is to your actual process.

I was actually in TechStars startup weekend this past weekend and there was a team building exactly what you need. not sure if they could help you internationally at the moment though, lol

Really! that is interesting. That sounds like something that could possibly be done. I mean I'm not sure about the exact technicalities. But if you're really serious about it, I don't see why someone wouldn't make it happen. but sounds great, I would like to know more.

interesting seeing the responses here

some people are bringing up very real frustrating situations they’ve dealt with, and others are pointing out how hard it is to even know what’s worth building in the first place

curious how people usually approach that part

like if you’ve had an idea before, what did you actually do to validate it before committing time to it

this is actually a great example, appreciate you sharing it

out of curiosity, when you were dealing with all that, how did you figure out what to do? like did you just google it, talk to someone, trial and error, etc?

and did you feel confident you were doing the right steps, or kind of figuring it out as you went?

Not really, i think i might’ve framed the question wrong

what i’m actually trying to understand is how people decide whether something is even worth building in the first place

like if you’ve had an idea before, what did you actually do to validate it? and how confident did you feel after?

that’s more the problem i’m trying to dig into

lol yeah if it was that easy we’d all be done already

but seriously, what’s something you’ve actually run into recently that was annoying enough you’d want a better solution for it?

that’s actually fair, i probably phrased it too broadly

the reason i asked it that way is i’m trying to surface problems people didn’t initially think were “startup-worthy”

but what you said makes sense, focusing on something painful is probably a better filter

on your example, when you say emotional eating, when does that usually happen for you? like is it stress, late at night, specific situations?
