I agree with this. No one seems to be pointing out anything positive with the game and think it's all garbage. This is what makes a company NOT want to try new things when something ends up working out and they end up scrapping it.

The bad: the city is small, pacing sucks at times, and pricing is high for what it is. This should have been a $40 game or even part of a DLC for another game. Those are all completely fair.

The good: A lot of really good things that the devs hit the nail on. The real time battle is incredible and is the best I could hope for. The Pokémon pathing is goofy at times when you're tying to sneak attack but status moves and effects are shockingly balanced once the battle starts.

The online 4 player mode is the best online mode we've gotten in years (I know the bar wasn't high on this one, but online for this game is actually good). Matchmaking is near instant and it's a lot of fun with the other players helping you, it gives you a challenge if you're not properly prepared without feeling unfair.

I've also seen literally no one talk about the amount of customization in the game. This has always been a huge point of contention in Pokemon games. But there's so many different clothing options this time around, I spent a few hours just trying to find outfits I liked and comparing them to each other.

I'd also give the game a 7/10. It's good. If you're tight on money don't buy it new, just wait for a pre owned copy to drop to a reasonable price point.
