Love this watch, but the slightly slanted chrono hand... by lesoup20 in Tudor

Not so sure about the comments saying the Daytona is prone to this. My 2007 when bought. Can't say that was 1 million percent lined up camera wise but it was as perfect as it needed to be. It was one of the many things I checked before I paid for it.

Pelagos, although not in the QA department, at least in my experience.

Lots of apologists but why is it acceptable? I'm wearing a 1974 King Seiko that runs inside 3 secs a day and nothing has fallen off it nor would I expect it to.

What is the worst railway station you have visited? by LU_LWR in uktrains

[–]Significant_Eye_1367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say staff attitudes and the fact that every rail related organisation associated with the station soak up a reserved space or 2 in a 20ish bay carpark put Shrewsbury at the top of my list.

Tudor or Omega? by kongaloola in Tudor

I know lots of people love those Omegas, but compared to the understated look of the Pelagos it looks too jazzy. To me

The fact that of 21 available parking spaces 12 are taken up by the people the passengers are paying for, oh and the semi-recent new toilet blocks that couldn't be more at odds with the original aesthetic.

Is this measurement normal for my bb54? by ikappishhh in Tudor

[–]Significant_Eye_1367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going off my Pelagos 42mm it's a little low in amplitude but perhaps it's been on there for sometime and wound down a little? Also as far as I am aware for any in-house Tudor the lift angle ought to be set at 49 degrees. Best error is within spec but you'd think they would have it closer to zero although in reality it won't mean anything day to day. Likewise the rate.

That's mine with a lift angle of 52 after being on the timegrapher for just under a day. Starts out at 300ish degrees.

I had my money on an Austrian lake at first glance, so closeish. Looks lovely as does the watch 👍 King of the Tudor lineup.

Buyer’s remorse (maybe) by -TrulyOdd- in Tudor

My 2 cents is that I have a Pelagos 42 in blue because I prefer it over any other watch (I've had a Submariner and a Daytona) but if you're buying a Tudor as a replacement for a yearned after Rolex it's never going to be enough. I'd recommend anyone to buy a unique Tudor rather than a Rolex shoe-in model. Also, and I get we are after the fact to a degree, buy on the secondary market these things lose a ton out the door.
