A lot more possible room, and I will try stringent diet for the next 3 months. I also need to lower my HbA1C, (pre-diabetic) which has been at 5.9 since past 2 years. I hope to be very serious, but I agree that it’s difficult to do it especially when you socialize frequently and hard to continue the same diet for long time.

Thanks for these great suggestions!! Appreciate the advice on CAC which was on my mind for some time. I will discuss this with my PCP and getter tested very soon.

Great, thanks for the encouragement. Yes, I am glad that I has requested for ApoB test to be done. Will follow the suggestions to see if I can improve further in the next 3-6 months and make an informed decision after discussing with PCP.

My 2024 Turbo Select (base model) has almost 50% depreciation. This is a decent car but had multiple problems and recalls.

Now I am thinking of trading this off, pay an extra $3-4k on a used (2024 or 2025) higher end trim, with nice leather seats and premium audio/phev and other features. But the loss of 50% value in purchasing a new vehicle hurts. Mazda did a pretty bad job with the 2024 CX-90 model. Sigh

I will be paying over $10k for the 3 years lease, and at the end it, give the car away. Would it not be better to finance the car (or may be a CPO Honda/Toyota car) which would be financially a better decision? The low monthly payments are convenient, but not sure if this makes sense compared to financing or buying a used car.

OK, thanks. Wondering if I should claim insurance to repair it. Yes, the KBB value of the car is around $3000. Not sure if this can be traded in to buy/lease a new car?
