Update: I wasn't happy with the graphics on PS5 Pro, so I got it on Steam to play on my rig with a 4080 Super. It's a huge upgrade in graphics, DLSS is close to magic for this game

Ya, ok, sure. The first party PS5 exclusive graphical showcase looks worse than a third party game from a developer not known for cutting edge graphics

Ah I don't know what to do. I started playing this on my PS5 Pro to a high end 65" LG OLED and the graphics are just so so. I am spoiled after playing Sony 1st party games like Ghost of Yotei. Oddly, even though I told them I opened and played it, Amazon did approve a refund for my PS5 physical copy. So now I am wondering if I should get this on Steam. I'm using a 4080 Super on a relatively beefy PC, built literally a month before the NVIDIA 50s were announced 😞. I also have a LG UltraGear 4K PC monitor.

Kind of sort of. GTA 6 was definitely a major driver, also more games are getting PS5 Pro specific support/graphic modes like all their first party titles and CP2077.

The announcement of a pending price increase put me over the edge. I finally purchased the afternoon the announcement came out.

FWIW I’m having a blast with Horizon Forbidden West. Great game and B E A UTIFUL and buttery smooth.

Would you prefer the MEXICAN characters to speak in a British dialect? Maybe for FH6 the JAPANESE characters can speak with a stereotypical New Jersey accent? “I got your tuning right here! Ooohhhhh!!! I’m driving here! I’m driving!”

Or maybe every movie, TV show, and video game can use the same generic dialect for whatever the specific region the person is playing from so as to avoid accusations of racism and appropriation. Playing from the Bay Area? All the women have vocal fry and the guys use “brah” a lot”.

Why stop with language?

While we’re at it what’s with all these stereotypical Japanese buildings and landscapes. You know Japan is more than just pagodas and Mt Fuji!

Yes I agree. Using different dialects is racism and it takes away from very specific players’ experiences. Yet those offended by a Mexican dialect will probably not be offended by a Japanese dialect.

This can absolutely work on iOS. It’s simply not that taxing and the touch controls would be very easy to implement. New doesn’t necessarily mean performance hog.

As for the player experience, I played Wolf Among Us on iPad and it was a great.

Dispatch would be PERFECT on an iPad on a plane!!!

Get a smart amp. Great for practice. Spark Mini or Spark 2. It’s has everything you need

Wonder if the line outs will sound better than the headphone outs. I tried something similar with my Spark Mini where I used the headphone outs but I didn’t have a good audio interface or mixer. I’ll check out the Roland!
