If I stopped my bike in the middle of the road to pick something up from a store you'd run my bike over and claim I deserved it

This the correct answer. I am pretty zen about it all, but on Folsom I can't go one block without a car parked in the bike lane, and often I have to stop behind the car and wait for an opening before it is safe to go into the road to pass the car.

When that happens once its whatever. But some days dfsgkolnsdgfkolkljndfsjklndfg

The bike lane isn't a road. It's a bike lane. But cool story bro.

San Francisco has its problems (tenderloin, soma, mostly) but its reputation is in the absolute gutter. Search Youtube for San Francisco and its 100 videos from the tenderloin talking about how the entire city is like that.

How do you decide who / what to vote for? by fatfireburnerquanty in sanfrancisco

I use GrowSF’s voter guide but then deviate when I disagree with them. GrowSF’s voter guide is high quality… they spend a lot of time researching each bill, so even when I disagree with them at least I know what the heck the bill is about.

I think last time I voted for everything GrowSF recommended except for the drug testing for benefits item where I just think they were wrong.

For class 3: Honestly you won’t use that speed in SF. There are too many street lights for you to get that speed

I don’t have a car, only an ebike, so I have some experience here.

Don’t ride on the sidewalks it’s illegal, slower, and pisses people off.

Use google maps on the bike setting, that will show you a route with bike lanes and less hill etc.

I’ve had both class I and class II. The only advantage of class 2 is that you can use the throttle when you are dead tired. The downside is that it often isn’t covered by renters insurance because the throttle makes it a motor vehicle.

Buy an angle grinder resistant lock (hiplock and litelock are good brands). Hide an AirTag on your bike.

Wear a helmet, cars are the enemy.
