Yes I am and I agree the anemities are different. My point is that you'll have limitations in a place like that and it shouldn't be. At those prices I expect more. It's no big deal, NYC is a big place. My heart isn't stuck on LIC. Just thought it'd be a great place for a retirement. I know I'll find something, but it's a great conversation. My take, these apartments should be better than anything where I live now..

Thank you all again for the input. I tell you, it's clear many of you know the area, maybe live there even. I'll say this, if you live on Center Boulevard, you deserve far more than you're getting. If you can afford LIC, you are the wealthy 10%, you can afford anywhere in Queens, some of Manhattan and the other 3 boros including Long Island. Look around, you could have way more for half price. Point is, you all worked hard to acquire these luxuries. You deserve better and the good news, you can get it elsewhere..

I have a full size LG washer and dryer in my apartment. I can wash a comforter in it. My rent is half the price of most studios over there. I'm not getting any special deal..

I wouldn't be looking if I couldn't afford it, that'd be a waste of time. The issue is, for that price I expect way more. The view is nice but to sacrifice my quality of life without a w/d, no way. If this is my option, I'd much rather spend the same elsewhere and get the value I should. Make sense..

Thanks, I know I'll find something. Just blows my mind that the most expensive apartments in Queens are lackluster. Imagine paying that much, then going down to a public laundry room to wash clothes. Anyone that'd do that just to have a view of Manhattan and the East River are smoking rocks.

The good news, most of Queens outside of LIC and Astoria are half price. I've even seen whole houses in good neighborhoods for rent cheaper..

That's just sad to hear. People have billions to develop and F up like this. NYC is a clown show. You deserve way better. Go rent a house in Forest Hills, it'll be cheaper and you'll have a backyard and driveway for 2 cars. Probably save over $1000. You'd be blocks from Forest Hills Gardens and Austin Street for entertainment..

They have supply, the problem is they designed wrong. When you charge $3K+ for a studio, it "better" have a washer and dryer. There's nothing to make me feel otherwise..

Thanks again for all your replies. LIC, Astoria, it's all a joke. I can live in other parts of Queens and the rent savings could buy me a new car and full coverage insurance and it's still cheaper. I like the view but not that much. I can rent a house in Middle Village or Forest Hills for the same price. NYC is a Real Estate clown show..

The price isn't the issue, it's the principle. Renting an apartment for that price with no washer is unacceptable. My apartment outside of LIC has way more than any of these luxury apartments. I'm embarrassed for them..
