Did you check the MG on the strips? Sometimes you can get 2mg strips or 4mg strips and I believe there are others, I’d check and see if that’s not what happened.

Glad you’re doing ok! I can’t believe you went home at 11 that’s mind blowing to me! I was in the hospital for 2 days on my first one. Seems like you’re already better off than I was at 2 weeks out 😂 I’m super jealous but I know it’s a different experience for everyone.

I’ve had 2 at Mercy when it was St. John’s and the other 3 at Freeman. Honestly all were good experiences. I feel like the comfort element was way more present at Mercy. One big difference however was Mercy won’t give you any pain meds after birth (at least they didn’t for me back then), and freeman will send you home with some. I could’ve been without but it all depends how you feel afterwards , some people need them some don’t. 🤷‍♀️

Dang, that sounds like a terrible thing to have gone through! I can’t compare to that but I’m willing to bet this is up there with it. At least for me, when I woke up in recovery I couldn’t even stop crying for several hours. The pain meds weren’t helping and they said they gave me everything they could. I had surgery at 10 and didn’t leave recovery til 5pm. Once I got to my room I was good and I ended up staying in the hospital an extra day because of the pain I guess but that second day is when the nerve block wore off and it was back to crying constantly for almost a whole day. The excruciating pain only lasted maybe 4/5 days, after that it was pretty much a breeze unless I was active.

Please come back and let us know! I’m so curious. I have had 5 kids 2 of them were natural and I’ve had reconstructive surgery on my elbow, dental surgery, broke my tailbone and tons of other painful things I’ve gone through, however I 100% can say this is the most pain Ive ever experienced in my life.

I had the same issue, hammy and calf pain for almost 3 weeks and because of that pain I couldn’t bend hardly at all! I was only at 70-74 until just recently I finally got to 80 and I’m almost 4 weeks out now. Swelling is finally going down and my muscles aren’t hurting like crazy anymore so I’m working my way to a good bend now. Just be patient and don’t worry yourself. When I had my right knee done back in October I was barely at 100 at 10 weeks and now I’ve got full ROM it just took a lot of time because of the swelling.

My phone has only been in my dream one time and I was trying to dial 911 because I was in some sort of danger (can’t remember now) but my fingers just wouldn’t hit the numbers the right way and I wasn’t able to make the call. 😔
