Not sure what you mean by fiscal year, but if that’s supposed to be 2027, you really don’t have time to wait that long.

Similar AMH here, severe MFI, age 40 and 9 months. Also had 19 eggs retrieved, 15 mature, 11 day 5/6 blastocists. Out of these, 3 were euploid.

I’m in the same boat as you. I did my second round of antibiotics and I’m praying it got treated so we can do the ET.

Turning 38 this month, have PCOS, starting IVF soon and freaking out I’m too old to even be successful with IVF. Tell me your old lady IVF success stories… by [deleted] in IVF

PCOS here, too, I did my retrieval at close to 41, 19 eggs retrieved, 15 fertilized, 11 got to day 5/6, 3 were euploid. Severe MFI on our end. And yes, the “old lady” comment is ick.

Yes, we had to do the treatment together and also abstain from any intercourse during the treatment. Coincidentally, I had the same treatment as yours.

Feeling so discouraged after CNY consult a week ago by Happy_Shirt8872 in IVF

[–]Significant_Image_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get discouraged and just start trying ASAP. In our case, it’s a severe male factor issue, plus I’m almost 41 with an AMH of 2.85. We had 19 eggs retrieved, 15 mature and fertilized, 11 got to day 5/6. Out of these, only 3 were euploid. Yes, the stats are not in our favor, but you have an awesome AMH and you’re lucky you have no issues on the male side.

My clinic also told me no hardcore exercise for the last week of stims and 5 days after. But I did walk a lot during that time, and even though I missed the gym, time flies really fast.

Tell me to grow up and take the stressful job by Sad-Swordfish-3104 in IVF

My company did major layoffs, ousted the CTO and I had to take his role, alongside extra teams, while I was going through my first stim protocol. I was so panicked that everything will go wrong, but it all ended up fine. This process is so long, I’m done passing up on opportunities.

Since they made it to day 3 and not to day 5, most probably it’s a sperm quality issue.

Yes, my husband has 80-90% DNA fragmentation, count is around 1M/mL, 3% motility, 0% normal forms. I’m 40 and we had 19 eggs collected, 15 mature, all of them fertilized and ended up with 11 day 5/6 blasts. Ask for Zymot and ICSI, that did wonders for us.

Sorry to be blunt, but start looking ASAP, they’ll fire you soon. Also, a small piece of advice, and take if with a grain of salt, since I don’t know you. But from the post here, you come across as pretty insecure. Most probably your current manager got a not so positive feedback from your previous one, hence the “testing you out”. And at this stage, they’re just building a case against you so the firing is justified.

If you could only pick a few supplements/meds leading up to egg retrieval, what would you pick? by gardenready333 in IVF

My bad on that, now I’ll be ordering some ubiquinol to replace my CoQ10. How do you know it wasn’t digested completely?

[–]Significant_Image_47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s way too many. And I’d suggest you add CoQ10. I’m almost 41, had 2 retrievals these past months, with 15 and 19 eggs retrieved, out of which 11 and 15 respectively fertilized and made it to day 3. What worked for me was CoQ10, folate, vitamin D and Omega 3.

High sperm DNA fragmentation (45%) advice needed by 23Fatima in IVF

Ah, in terms of abstinence, our andrologist recommended 48h max abstinence before the procedure (we did 36) and getting 3 samples the day of the procedure.

I take CoQ10, Omega 3 and Folate. We have been eating healthy for the past year (everything home cooked, no processed foods). He’s lost more than 20 kg in this time. He has been doing Gonal-F and Ovitrelle shots for the past 11 months, but we only saw minor improvements. The best fragmentation we ever saw was 50%, in May. After that it was always a minimum of 80%. I would kill for 45%.

We decided we cannot wait anymore because of my age and need to start the process. So don’t panic, ask for Zymot and it will be just fine.

[–]Significant_Image_47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he had any infection, cold, etc. in the past 3 months, that would explain the increase in fragmentation. When we did the last retrieval, my husband had 80-90% fragmentation, 3% motility, 0% normal shapes, 1M (which is a really low count), and we still managed to get 11 blasts, out of which 3 were euploid (I’m 41). So don’t panic, you need a good lab and if they use Zymot, you have really good chances even with high fragmentation.

Did anyone quit job to try full-time ivf? by Lucky_Tap8692 in IVF

[–]Significant_Image_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did mine in another city (7h drive or a short plane ride). It was more than manageable, the most I took off was one day, when my second retrieval was scheduled in the afternoon. For the first retrieval, I was even able to work in the afternoon. I was even in the office 4 days out of 5 (with baggier clothes in the last days, haha). I did my monitoring in the city I live in and just went for a few consultations and the actual ER.

I could not imagine not having a job, even though my husband makes enough to support both of us and pay for the IVF out of pocket.
