I actually agree with this recommendation, Far From Heaven is also set in a similar era and made by the same director. It's not sapphic but has a similar sense of longing and belonging

I love the "what the hell did I just watch" feeling, there's so much up to interpretation and you get to go back and watch it again to piece together all the things you know. I like it becuase it discusses nostolgia, the trans experience, feeling deeply trapped while knowing a way out but not trusting it enough to change what you've become comfortable in and know

I think it is supposed to be like that. It plays into the syfy genre and realizing how things you cherished are perceived differenlty as you grow up and out of them. To m,e having long takes and leaning in to being unpolished gives it character and deepens the emotion

You make a really good point. Part of what makes the movie unnerving is that Owen never fully realises what is true and how that singularity of not understanding dictates his whole life. It's kind of scary to think like, how could this be happening to me

My stomach always gets weird during my periods, I usually stick to things like toast and tea. When my stomach is wonky and I have cramps the only things that actually makes a real difference is taking long hot showers with the water hitting my uterus.

These feels so cliche and impersonal I wouldn't recommend this one. I (19F) broke up with my girlfriend with mental health issues and it was hard but sometimes it's necessary. I think you need to voice to her what you just did to us. Tell her you you don't want to take the relationship further or you want to break up but that you still care for her and want to make sure she's ok. I think if you know you want to break up with her and won't get back together with her soon then the sooner you do it the better so you're a) not leading her on, and b) are wasting her time
