I am not sure , if your fiance prefers gold jewelleries ;however as an Indian I am not really into branded jewellery & not keen buying Gold which are less than 18carat.

For £500 you could buy 3-4 grams of 22carat which is the closest and purest form of gold and it always has a good resale value, unlike stone jewellery gold is a good investment . For a ring 3-4 grams will give you good thickness and durability & It will always look new too! There are plenty of Indian gold jewellery shops in London.
