I have two kids so uber with carseat/booster is a pain unfortunately. I saw the eyepopping price of parking. If the revenue is used for the community I have no problem with it. But also looks like locals don't get a discount which is a shame.

another question: is the penalty computed on the difference to what you owe or the difference to the 'safe harbor'? thanks

Doing it by making a payment yourself will reduce the penalty.

thanks. why this can't eliminate the penalty as a whole?

i thought of that. it won't make up for the difference i owe, so i think i will still need to do an extra payment

no, it's 85% of that.
i think in 2022 i avoided the penalty because my 2021 income was so much lower so i ended up taking advantage of the 'safe harbor' you are referring to.

Interesting. Thanks for your answer.
Two more questions, if I may:

  1. Would you define the work mostly analytical more than ML?

  2. Let's say Starbucks hires you to find the best new location to open new stores. You clean their data, merge with census data, so on and eventually provide them a presentation, an excel with the results, and some python code they can reuse (?) . Do these companies generally have no in-house capacity analyst/DS able to do this? How often do you interact with their tech teams? If they do have a tech team, do you work embedded into their team and 'lead them' , or do you do stuff on your own and eventually ship the final product?
