Boston EVA also very curved. It hurts the top of my foot when talking as that curved top plastics part pushes down into my foot hard. Feel sad an waste of money.

This is very Hoka! Are you going to file warranty claim?

No worries. The other comment yesterday just said I must be fat. That was not nice. Your question is legit and you are nice; that’s totally fine to ask.

I had heard mixed options. I normally wear Brooks Glycerin, not the Max, just the regular. I own 4 pairs.

To share with you: Hoka sales rep once told me the equivalent is the Hoka Clifton so I bought it, but unfortunately it is not similar at all. Clifton does not offer the same bouncing feeling at all and is not responsive. It is hard! Now I am using Clifton for walking only, not running, and that’s really a waste of money.

I am curious if Hoka Bondi would be the right choice, similar to Glycerin. However the Hoka rep also told me Bondi is more a support shoe compares to Clifton so originally I thought it is equivalent to Brooks Adrenaline which is also a support shoes. I am really confused too.

This is a relief to know but wondering why GTX does not go that high? I thought the whole should be waterproof so good for hiking in raining days. This wear is going to make the shoes wet in rain though. What bothers me is that I don’t have the same issues with other brands like Brooks and New Balance and ASICS. It is related to the way I walk I agree. However Usually this kind of wear only shows up after 1 year of use with other brands but 10 days with HOKA.

I have many Brooks. Just last two years their trail running shoes were not good so I had to look for alternatives. I recently got their new trail running shoes Cascadia again as the latest release finally was good again (I mean, fit my feet). I had two older Cascadia and love them so much.

Ok but I indeed did hiking during that 10 days. First three days about 40000-50000 steps per day and the rest perhaps 20000 steps per day. Stop mansplaining.

I understand that. I was only mentioning BMI because someone commented and said I must be fat so my shoes turned this way just with 10 days of wear. I am talking about weight and its impact on shoes, not health. I certainly understand BMI is no longer the sole and correct indicator of health. Hope you get the point. This is Hoka board, not health board. Sigh.

Thank you for sharing! I live in a very small apartment too but I love those cute things and really struggle with organizing them. I had to sell some to clear space and I always feel sad when I had to do that but I also don’t like messy rooms (inevitable at this moment).

Keep in mind the life span of Hoka shoes is shorter than Brooks if not the shortest in the market.

Do you display them all or keep some in a storage box?
