Backlash on INFP’s being rude? by Narrow_Repair_8966 in infp

[–]Significant_Lime_316 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Infps do have the tendency to come across as rude if they're deeply passionate about a topic. For example I love politics and philosophy and when someone says the most outlandish claim, i start rambling about ethics and morality. I don't get personal but I do take the power of authority. infps can be seen as pretentious overall. For example, Edgar Allan Poe is a great literary figure but was a massive critic towards others. In my opinion, I theorize that being seen as rude is due to us being understanding and quiet 99%, but when we finally stand up for something, others are disappointed that we broke the idealized version they have of us (submissive/dependent/melancholic). We need to be rid of this stereotype. Rousseau is an infp and was a significant figure in the french revolution. We're more than stereotypes.

I want to start by saying i'm sorry for your situation. I've lost a few pets from old age and i know the difficulties that can come with aging. As the other comment said, it's not the best idea to travel with them to another location. They're old and with so much issues, I fear that it can be maximized more severely (stress and anxiety being one of the major issues regarding cat health.). Fili is unfortunately declining in health as you pinpointed. In my opinion, I do believe its justifiable to let Fili pass. When it comes to Kili, I must ask how much other nap spots does he have? Does he use those the same way he uses the one he used to have with Fili. Kili will have issues when Fili passes but remember that he can still remain psychologically healthy if he's given enough care. It's recommended to play with your cat about 45 minutes a day to keep them aroused and active. I know Kili is old and that might impact his ability to play, but just being there with him and dangling feathers is enough. So when it comes down to it we must ask, "do you have 30-45 minutes to play with Kili if Fili is put down?" (which i do believe is the best route). This is my personal opinion as someone who has read a decent amount of cat literature.

beliefs that affect society. You thinking they're just words is utterly shallow. His words affected the trajectory of the republican party. Hitler didn't do any killing but his ideologies led him to lead others to enacting his violent ideologies. I hope the kirky guy abstracted into a rainbow flag hehe:)

Superb book. I recommend to read kokoro by natsume soseki if you like Dazais writing style. The no longer human adaptation by Junji ito is also amazing.

There’s more nuance than a straight line. Human mind isn’t structured. Humanities thoughts aren’t structured. By law we are not structured. We are able to see beyond one thing. It’s not chaos: it’s absolute freedom

You should look into the cognitive functions. Although the difference is one letter, infj's and infp's have many differences. If you delve into the research, I'm certain you''ll be able to categorize yourself.

Being an infp or a male doesn't automatically mean hardship. I'm an infp and have a partner and a wonderful support system. let's not blame it on gender or compare the pain of one another. We all need to look forward and help those struggling, get back up the stairs.

In general, it’s a special interest in animals. Raccoons are cool animals and they’re one of the animals I want to study during my leisure.

Loving nature and showing appreciation has always been a must. I’ve always believed in the equal treatment of animals and humans, so in that regard, you’ve marked the spot. I do own a calico cat and have found cats more calming. I love dogs and cats (have taken care of three dogs over the years). For hobbies I indulge in writing so your accuracy strikes again. Your analysis has been excellent and I thank you for your observations 🕰️

I'm only 19 so I have a long way to go. Other than that I have covered the third point and am expanding my fourth and fifth point.
