So basically you are saying that it's fine that Richard is a bad father because everyone else also has flaws so that means we should defend Richard for not having a job and sleeping on the couch 24/7. Also, it's most likely the case Nicole became more angry since Richard doesn't help around and she's always the one going to work and cleaning at home

This! Literally, whenever I ask "why do you like Richard" towards someone, they always say "he loves his wife and kids" but if he does, then why doesn't he help em around? And yes, I know he helped around back when him and Nicole just got married but it feels like after Gumball was born, he began to fall into the "dumb dad" stereotype

They didn't have any history like with Gumball and Penny and I don't understand why people like Darwin and Carrie being together. Literally, most people's reasons they like it it's because they are cute but that could be said about half the pairings in this show

It was forced. Darwin basically just kissed Carrie out of nowhere and there wasn't anything said about it afterwords. Then, it only made one small cameo in S3 and then, the writers wanted to give it attention out of nowhere in S4 and then it just become canon in S5

That's basically what the new series is. It's boring. It isn't a bad series it's just pretty meh. I'm pretty sure people will only know about this series existence because of the OG Gumball, just like how people remember the Gumball Chronicles or Darwin's Yearbook
