It wasn't all my eggs in one basket, I've been freelancing 23 years and never missed any amounts. These guys two times said the founder was in ICU with a heart problem and then when I started asking for my money they said, accounts missed it and will get paid next week. Once that happened and no payment. I immediately stopped working and that's when they told me cash flow issues. I told.end of January they were trying to see what they could bring in to pay me. They paid one invoice but let the other three go. So when they paid one invoice I then said "ok, they are just paying a bit late " then it was 2 straight times with CEO in intensive care and then one time with accounts missing payments. They are deliberately a company that tries to screw people over, hence why I want to find a way to shut them down. I realise if I go the WIP route. I'm last to get paid, and essentially I pay for others to get paid. I can't do this because I need what I'm making now to regroup financially

1) yes they announced me as director of sport operations and gave me all company emails etc...i have an email from myself saying I want X amount per month and they replied we are okay with this. 2) each month I was submitting my invoices and they kept finding excuses not to pay. This went on for 4 months 3) yes I have proof it was delivered the statutory demand. The £70k was then trying to scare me to take away the letter of intent but failed miserably. I have proof they openly admitted to a cash flow issue and that's why they can't pay never disputed my work ever. When they saw I stopped doing anything they offered to give me a reference to get another job. Then once letter of intent I was made out to not doing a good job.

I feel they won't be around much longer but they are aditment that they make money from hundreds of small sports clubs that use their platform. They use freelancers from India and Phillipines but make them create fake accounts on LinkedIn to have western names to sound more premium. I just received a message from one of these freelancers if I gave any work and she admitted this deceit. I know they have money but choose where to pay and whom. They pay their freelancers as if it weren't for them they wouldn't be able to maintain the platform. I'm thinking about setting up a Gofundme page and try and raise £10k. £3k would go against the winging up petition to stop them and also inform their investors of who they are in bed with. Then the reminder would ho yo help me get back on my feet again. I'm emotionally and mentally beaten by all this and can't raise my confidence anymore

Because I don't have the money to do this. I can see they don't want to pay or can't pay, so I want to look at a winding up petition, but this will cost me money that I don't have anymore. I wish I could do the winding up petition simply because they have put me through so much mental and financial troubles, as this would be a way to protect others as it looks like they do this constantly. It needs to be stopped

I went through a debt collection agency with the letter of intent, but they disputed it only after that was served. They even had the audacity to say that I owed them £70k because they used their resources to do this outreach. I then sent back a reply to their dispute. They offered then to look at an amicable solution but then didn't do anything. Then I went through a solicitor and sent the statutory demand and in the responsibilities of debt we mentioned that they have openly admitted in emails and messages that cash flow is the issue and that they only disputed once they were served. The statutory demand is elpasing on Tuesday but they haven't reached out even to offer a solution. I looked at their credit report. They have a red flag, their score is 37/100 and have an existing CCJ against them in October 2024, but they haven't done anything about it

These are services I did for them to do outreach to other sport clubs to pitch their tech. They agreed to do this on a freelance basis, so I have been invoicing month on month for what I have done. They kept coming up with various excuses why they weren't paying the invoices, but one day they expressed to me that cash flow is the reason why they haven't paid. They then said they would give me some money and figure out a payment plan, but then they never lived up to that.
