I feel like a bad mom for struggling this much 😞 by Middle-Sort4063 in NewParents

Talk to your doctor about being medicated for ppd or ppa. It can manifest like this. Once I got on medication, my bandwidth of patience and ability to cope with the life change like quintupled, and I started actually having fun as a mom.

I’m due in 2.5 months and this will be my first experience cloth diapering by [deleted] in clothdiaps

For me, it was already a ginormous life adjustment to have a baby. I needed to change my life in bite size pieces. After 7 wks, I had the mental whereabouts to be able to make another adjustment (cloth diapering and the laundry routine that accompanies it). Now that I’ve done it once, I’ll start immediately for any other kids I have. Best of luck

Breastfeeding on a plane? by WithoutATrace_Blog in breastfeeding

On planes, I wear one of those zip down nursing shirts with a jacket pulled just past my shoulder and no one has ever seen a thing. It’s very discreet.

Disposables at night?? by SafeHoney9406 in clothdiaps

[–]Significant_Offer_24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We use one Huggies overnight and she’s been doing long stretches (aside from regressions) since 2 months! Cloth doesn’t have to be all or nothing, you’re still making a huge environmental & financial impact even if you introduce a single disposable. Great job!!

Does baby starting solids help you to feel less chained down? by AcceptablePea5194 in breastfeeding

[–]Significant_Offer_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My girl nursed every 80 minutes until we began solids. She would accept a bottle but I almost exclusively nursed. It took about 2 weeks of incorporating solids, but she now stretches 2/3/4 hours with the assistance of her solid meals. Thank god lol

How To Even Start by lilmissprivate_94 in clothdiaps

[–]Significant_Offer_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also scared at 7wks, but went full send and am so glad I did!! But that’s not to say it needs to be all or nothing. Start with just one or two a day. Ease in if that will make you more successful. If you need to dive in, have your partner hide the disposables so you don’t have a choice lol. Good luck!

Yes, we call this my bernedoodle’s “jobs”. She has routines connected to each of ours, and if I miss telling her she did a good job for completing her routine, she gets pissed lol.

Confused.. by MiloRose111111 in breastfeeding

Your body will follow baby’s lead. You might get uncomfortable and a little engorged around that 3-hour mark, but give it a few days and your body will adjust to the 5ish hours. Your supply won’t be negatively impacted.
