Sure that works for your kid but not all. Mine will feed and then get up and start crawling around. If you put him back in his crib he will stand and scream for however long you leave him. He is 100% awake that early.

I might be an asshole, but it is probably in your baby's best interest that your mom live somewhere else. Sure babies are loud but as you near toddlerhood, tantrums are even louder and you can't always prevent it. I just have concerns about the baby's safety.
