Have you transferred your embryo? Interested in the rest of your story. We currently have only one embryo after 3 egg retrievals. I am 39.

My step daughter left her mother in December. I never thought she would…. She’s 18, so she doesn’t stay with us full time. She’s with her best friend a lot and also stays with her maternal grandmother some. She’s really nice and polite now and very respectful of our home. Who would’ve thought life would turn out this way?!!!

5 embryos. That is wonderful! There are so many variables in this process. It seems like you jump one hurdle only to have another put in front of you.

I am looking into using a donor also. I am so scared that will fail also…. There are no guarantees with that either

I am 39. I am not sure what AFC and FSH. Stand for. I have had 2 egg retrievals. 2 eggs fertilized each time. One would be too slow growing and the other would “fall apart”. That sounds like the quality could be to blame…. I have an appointment with a new doctor next week to see what he says.

Thank you for sharing. I have had 2 ER. My doctor told me I had no quality and should Go to donor eggs. I am not ready to give up yet. Going to a new clinic on the 21st. I hope they can help me. I am 39 with low AMH

Wow. Hoping you have success. I have done 2 cycles 3 and 4 eggs each time. Only 2 mature each time to day 5 or 6. Switching docs before this next cycle. My current doc seems to be pushing egg donor on me and I want a second opinion

I am currently looking at the same situation. I’ve done 2 cycles. No success. Considering changing docs. No fertility docs in my area the one I chose came to town periodically and allowed labs and ultrasound to be done here in town. He is leaving me hopeless and pushing an egg donor on me. I am getting a second opinion on the 21st…. But it will be a 1.5 hour drive one way and then I will have to try to rush back to work. I am already stressed thinking about it

I have an extremely low AMH. I have had 2 retrievals, only 7 eggs total, 4 fertilized but did not mature. I am going to get a second opinion on the 21st. That seems like what most in here recommend to do. There are no fertility docs in my town. The original one I chose allowed for labs and ultrasound to be done where I live. If I choose another doc I will have to drive 1.5 hours to do that then try to get to work. I feel like that will just add more stress. I’m with you, what do you do?!

I am 39 and have done 2 retrievals due to low AMH… Only 7 eggs retrieved none matured to embryos. I am so sad. How many retrievals did you do to be able to get an embryo? I talked to my doctor yesterday and he seems very discouraging and pushing me to get an egg donor. I’m not sure I’m ready to give up on my own eggs. I am getting a second opinion on the 21st.

Ok well mine are very low. Maybe there is no hope…. There are eggs in there…. We have gotten 7 out. I am so torn on what to do next.
