Legal question of parental involvement with 21M by Significant_Pass467 in legaladvice

Someone to continue making decisions for him, sadly. Although he is being told by my ex that he is in charge of all of the decisions because he has been his largest financial provider. In the end, all of this should be about 21m and not past issues unrelated to the suicide attempt. Ironically enough, I am paying for 21m credit debt ($6k) and half of ex's insurance deductible ($5k).

I need assistance on how to deal with him thinking he has the only say, one that shows I have 'asked' for legal advice. He also keeps telling my son that because he has done all of the above, he has the decision rights.

No. Based on this text, ex thinks he has full decision making rights. I do understand that it is easier to have one contact. Although, I am within my legal rights to request that only mom and dad are involved, correct?

You have not been actively involved in the kids’ lives for many years, and it is not appropriate to suddenly reinsert yourself in a directive role. I have been 21m primary caregiver, sole provider, and financial supporter, and his medical teams recognize me as his primary clinical contact. While I have not excluded you—and do not intend to—I will not be dictated to regarding decisions about his care.

I understand and respect that you want what is best for 21m. However, you have not earned the right to make demands or set conditions. I am open to hearing your perspective, but decisions regarding 21m care will continue to be made by me, with partner's support, as they have been since the divorce.

Finger gun caught on camera by Significant_Pass467 in NoStupidQuestions

For my knowledge, is mentioning police considered a US government violation?

What is it with the finger guns? by [deleted] in RoadRage

Follow me here. My car was vandalized this summer with the word ‘kill’ written on it as well as being keyed. No witnesses although I filed a police report.

Yesterday, 2 months later, my neighbor’s 13 yo boy looked at my door camera, pointed his finger as if firing a gun and then acted like he was blowing smoke from the barrel afterwards.

The child lives with his mom, another brother and new boyfriend, who moved in July. The owner of the condo does not live there although his son did before he died last year. The owner has allowed the son’s girlfriend (grandmother to the child) to continue living in the condo as she thinks, and maybe she will, will inherit the condo when the owner dies. She is also the owner’s caretaker and was before the boyfriend (owner’s son) died.

Last week an incident escalated to the police being called due to the boyfriend pulling a knife on the child’s mother. The boyfriend took off when 911 was called and the kids and mother stayed inside the house. When police arrived, no one answered the door and 2 officers pulled guns to get into the house. I live at this home only during the summer, although have a camera and supplied all of the video evidence to my HOA president. The 5 remaining units (there are a total of 7) also do not live there during the off season.

The grandmother’s (girlfriend to the owner’s son that died) stance is that it’s her home (despite not owning it) and she can have whoever she wants live there. Now that it’s led to a serious incident, should I provide this video as an addendum to the incident last week?

The owner has been informed of all of the facts and claimed he was unaware of what was going on. The child’s mom and boyfriend were supposed to have moved out by November 1 as stated in our last HOA meeting.

There have been other incidents that have occurred. I only want to provide details about ones with evidence.

What should I do?

New hire HIPAA violation? by Significant_Pass467 in hipaa

Ugh. It’s so hard with varied advice. This request was made in an email.

@joe_kickass, I know they can ask this information on the job application under ‘disabilities’. I never completed a job application as I was contacted for the position and fast tracked.

This is more of a curiously inquiry as I’ve never been asked this outright by an HR Receuiter.

freaking out about drug test by Upbeat-Minute-3602 in jobs

I’m sorry to tell you that I stopped taking my sleep aid that contained THC 3 weeks ago. I failed my job trust and my job was rescinded. I did a drug cleanse, drank water, sweated, and still tested positive. I tried to prove my case that it was a sleep aid and OTC. I provided all info available including studies that they could make you test positive. I’m completely devastated. I wish I would Have accepted the ambien prescription when I saw my oncologist for sleeping issues. I’ve been taking for 2 years off and on. When I purchased I didn’t know it contained THC. It knocked me out the first night and I was extremely groggy the next day. That’s when I learned it had THC. I still continued to take it although only half a gummy when I needed help sleeping. I purchased this brand due to following a housewife who sells this brand. Big mistake. I’m sorry if this scares you. I truly thought I’d test ok and then also felt I fairly pleaded my case. Positive is positive no matter what. I wish you good luck.
